High pitched cry in carrier/wrap

Moms, does anyone else's LO have a high pitched cry when placed in a carrier? I have tried a Moby wrap and a Chicco carrier and in both he cries out like he is in pain (very high pitched). Any suggestions??

Re: High pitched cry in carrier/wrap

  • I bought a cheap carrier that looks like a baby Bjorne and my lo cries every time I try to put her in it..her cry isn't high pitched but does kind of sound like she hurts so I've given up on it..I have a balboa sling coming from target so I'm hoping she likes that

  • Yup. My baby has a high pitched cry when I try to put him in his baby kitan carrier. I'm gonna keep trying daily to see if he will eventual get used to it. Crossing fingers.

  • @glaguardia does your baby k'tan feel real snug? I thought it was squishing my LO. But the website says it should stretch... ??? I'm hoping LO will eventually like it because the other carriers like the ergo baby or bjorn seem so complicated... Although DH wants one like that. He thinks LO is gonna fall out of the k'tan.

  • My babe usually fusses or cries when I'm putting her into any carrier. She calms down pretty quickly after. The couple of times it seemed like she was in pain, I either took her out & started over or adjusted her while in it (depends on the carrier) until she relaxed.
  • @mrsrep123. It's very snug and yup it does feel like I'm squishing him too. Lol
I also bought a Tula (like an ergo) and hope i can use it once he is a little older. I'm crossing my fingers that he will like one of the carriers.
