For the past two or three days I can't stop itching. I can't tell if my skin is just stretching or what but my whole body itches!! My legs arms hands feet neck face stomach...... Ugh!

Lotion hasn't helped and I feel like I could scratch my skin off!!!!!!

I would say call your health care provider, as itching all over could possibly be a sign something is up....once you get the clear with him/her, then maybe try organic coconut oil!

  • Isolated itching is normal for skin to stretch but all over is a sign of something else. You should call your doctor.
  • Yes, you will want to get checked for cholestatis.

  • Is this your first pregnancy? If so you might have PUPP. It's a rash that starts in stretch marks (most of the time) and spreads. It's not very common, but I had it with DD. I have scars from scratching so much. There is no cure for it (other than having the baby - then it clears up within a day or two) so you can try something like benadryl to help. For me, the only thing that worked was tea tree oil. I added a few drops to my lotion and applied every 2-3 hours. I was able to stop itching for that. I also switched to tea tree oil shampoo that was used as body wash as well whenever I showered. Then immediately applied lotion again after drying off. I'm hoping that's not what is happening for you, but if you show your doctor they will be able to tell you for sure. Good luck!
  • I have been having the same problem. The itching seems to be worse at night when I am trying to sleep. Definitely call your provider, I told mine, and they had me worked up for a condition called "cholestasis". I am still waiting on blood test results.
  • I was diagnosed with PUPPS a few weeks ago and my doctor prescribed a topical steroid cream which cleared it up after only 4 uses and I have only had one flare up since. It started out as slight itching and then escalated into a full blown rash all over my belly. I've heard some people don't recover until after the baby is out, but my doctor said most of the time it will go away during pregnancy. If there's itching but no rash, you may have cholestasis which is a very serious condition. Definitely see your doctor!
  • I've dealt with this for 3 weeks now! Its horrible! The doctor doesn't know what caused my itchiness but it wasn't cholestasis or pupps. He prescribed  me steroids and I don't think they did much of anything. I think its finally going away though! I've been using Grandpa's pine tar soap once in the morning, once in the evening and then lathering myself in Aveeno's overnight oatmeal lotion or itch relief cream. The soap stinks but it doesn't leave the smell on you. Work up a good lather and let it sit for awhile. Avoid hot baths. Take cool showers instead.
