First postpartum period

I stopped breastfeeding 2.5 weeks ago and my period has not returned, within the last couple of days I have felt crampy, nauseous, and have had diarrhea. Of course the first thing that came to my mind was that I am pregnant again. I took a couple of tests and they were negative (maybe I tested too early though). And I don't even think it's possible that I am pregnant, my husband always wears condoms and still pulls out even though he is wearing one. My question is, did you have any of those symptoms before your first period returned? It feels a lot like early pregnancy. I read that PMS can cause nausea and diarrhea, but I have never been nauseous before a period before.

    i have light periods and no issues. I didn't even know mine was coming. It just kinda showed up one day. I would give it time and see how it plays out.

    Mine started tonight. :-( I have had a headache for the past two days, which is common for me when I get my period. But I'm not nauseous.

    My sisters all tend to feel nauseated near/during their period. I often have issues with diarrhea. I'm 9 weeks PP and I just got what I think is a light period. I'm not usually one that has to deal with cramps but this time around, I am. I had them a few days before and now during. It sounds to me like PMS!

    I've been feeling the EXACT same. Stopped breast feeding around the same time as you. Im 6 weeks postpartum and haven't had bleeding for almost a week now. But I'm in the same boat these past few days with the cramps, nausea, and diarrhea. It feels like I have a heavy period lol but there's nothing.

    @krgaudreau sounds like it could just be the hormones from our period trying to come back! Fingers crossed that's the reason, I'm not ready for another baby yet!

    I also just had mine return, but unlike before pregnancy, this one has been really light, and hasn't really had a lot of symptoms with it. One day it just reared its head, like Surprise! And I'm still BFing!

    But, like pregnancy, I bet everyone's is different - and those symptoms sound pretty normal to me. Good luck!

    I am actually EBF and am concerned that my period has come back. I have been cramps and having enough bleeding to warrant a pad. I am 6 weeks post partum and have my check up today

    I had what I thought could be a period at 4.5/5 weeks postpartum but waited until this month to be sure. Sure enough I am bleeding again with light cramping. I am EBF, not cool Mother Nature, not cool!

    I'm still BFing as well and I started a light period today :(

    I'll be honest, I'm still a little bit in denial. Im like, "maybe it wasn't my period...maybe im still recovering, randomly, 9 weeks PP...maybe this is just my life now" haha

    I'm 8 weeks pp and pumping AND just started the low dose bc pill a couple weeks ago and I think I started my period today. :(

    Mine wasn't even light :( it's almost over so it was fast but like a regular period. I hope my supply is not low. It doesn't seem low...tmi but I can squeeze and get a stream.
