We are just under 1 year from starting to TTC (September 2016), so we are getting serious about our baby bucket list. Ours includes:
- Go on a cruise (did that last September)
- Build our first home (June 2014)
- Get promotions (July 2015)
- Save six months emergency expenses (July 2015)
- Travel to Europe (going in December)
- Travel to New York City (hoping to go in May 2016)
- Run a 10k (me)
- Pay off DH's student loans (should be paid of November 2016)
- Save up $5,000--currently have $2,000 saved (cover out of pocket max + a little for start up items)
So what's on your baby bucket list?
Re: What's on your baby bucket list?
- Get married (not that i think its necessary, but we wanted to)
- Go to Norway
- Start the process of purchasing property
We are getting married in less than two weeks- EEE and honeymooning to Norway, so thats done, and are PLANNING the housing process, but were fine in the rental were in we just want to prepareNow I just need to graduate and finish up my masters. So as long as I'm not due around June I am golden.
Pay off student loans - should be done by next Spring.
Have $100K saved for retirement - about 10 more months at our current pace.
-Another big trip here, Amsterdam and Belgium in March. Ok with being PG for this if we start in December.
-Save $6,000 for mine and baby's OOP max. Behind on this but will have more time once PG.
-Get a good midwife-meeting mine in October
-Teach a few more dive classes-my last of the year is scheduled for November. Not sure what to tell my boss at that point when she starts on next year's schedule.
-H has an minor surgery he's been procrastinating, and I'd love to get that out of the way.
Love the Norway pics! I'm dying to get there.
-Wedding
-Honeymoon
-Find a midwife
And then we're ready!

1) Travel to Europe - check! We made quite a few stops including Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Venice, Florence, Siena, Rome, and Barcelona! It was an amazing trip that felt like an extensive honeymoon. I want to go back!
2) Pay off all credit card debt - check!
3) Purchase a home. This step is currently "in progress." We've already been pre-approved by the lender, we are just in search for the right place. San Diego housing is just SO expensive, and I no longer want to put our hard-earned money into the hands of a landlord.

It's a boy!
We are TTC #1 in August 2016.
-3 week trip to Europe (DONE)
-DH get a job promotion (DONE)
-Save in a separate account for my maternity leave (half way to our goal).
-Lose 25 pounds (I'm down 11 pounds so far)
-Get an SUV (DONE)
-Pay off the remaining $19,000 in student loan debt (We have a little over $9,000 left).
It's been easy to stay focused with eating healthy, working out, saving money and paying off debt. I know the next 11 months are going to FLY by, so I'm enjoying this time!
