So my lab seriously has an iron stomach, which is ironic because he had stomach issues as a puppy. Anyway...my DH left a bag of Hershey mini candy bars on the floor in our room and Toby dog got into the candy while we were out and about. I have no idea how much chocolate he consumed, but he did get an upset stomach. Two poops in the house and numerous candy wrapper poops outside. Damn dog. This dog has eaten so many things and taken far too many trips to the vet. Here are some of the things he's consumed and still lived until the ripe old age of 13:
-Lavender bath salts
-Nearly an entire batch of sugar cookies
-Cleaned out the bottom shelf of the pantry, which is my baking area so there was coconut, chocolate, coconut flour, and nuts.
-So many left over snack plates from my DS that I've lost count.
-Bags of cookies
-Loafs of bread
-A bag of bagels
-Gotten into the trash and
-A Costco size bag of Craisins, just to name a few.
What funny/crazy pet stories do you have?
Re: Funny Fur Baby Stories
5 pounds of cheese in one sitting, a loaf of bread, got into the bag of cat food and ate until we caught her, Lululemon sweat pants, countless pairs of VS undies, 5 onesies, 5 burp clothes, a trash of dirty diapers, countless dog toys, 3 pairs of VS yoga pants, tons of socks, her bark collar, water bottles... i think thats it... haha
And she is just a small, 20 pound dog. She definitely keeps our lives interesting.
~ a dog that managed to 'find' 3 seperate bags of marijuana on 3 different walks (aka by now we know you, the owner, smoke weed and your dog has eaten your stash. Just own it)
~ a cat that ate dryer sheets. So many they all stuck together and caused an obstruction
~ a dog with a stomach full of rocks
~ a cat that ate so much of its own hair it caused an obstruction
~ a dog that ate an entire package of preggy pops
~ a dog that ate an entire package of Tylenol
~ a dog that ate bees (and consequently got stung in his mouth a bunch of times)
~ a cat that ate blankets and towels
My own cat, the departed Silt, ate everything. If you werent paying attention he would eat salsa (which contains onions which are poisonous to cats), plants, donuts, muffin tops (leave muffins cooling on the counter and come back to all the tops have been grazed off), goldfish crackers... I honestly can't think of a single thing he WOULDN'T eat. Big Man was a vacuum.
And since we're talking about pets - the other day I was feeding LO and Samurai jumped up next to us and headbutted LO on his head. (Headbutts are a sign of affection in cats, for you dog people) It's only happened a few times, but when it does it's totally an 'Awwww!' moment

*Also, not really sure what happened here but I'm just going with it.

On the topic of dogs eating their own poop. That is so gross...but it's about to get grosser . My dad had a scottish terrier who like to eat the cat poop out of the litter box. And my dad called is almond roca! Ew! But so funny at the same time.
DH's cat loves pizza crust. Mine loves cake, muffins, and fake cake flavoring, like birthday cake flavored ice cream or cereal.
DH'S cat has also started using the bouncy seat and sleeping in the swing.
Remi likes to grab LO's items (socks, toys) so we're careful where we put them. He's super protective of LO, esp on walks. He always has to check where she is at home.
ETA He kept bringing his tennis ball and dropping it on her back. She thinks the dog is funny and would laugh. Then DS had to come and have tummy time, too. It was funny.
