Bleeding stopped, but started again 3 weeks after miscarriage?

Hi ladies-

Thank you for all of your discussions on this board. It has been so helpful to me over the past 3 weeks.

3 weeks ago, I had a natural miscarriage at 11.5 weeks. I saw the doctor that day and ultrasound confirmed no sac was present. A few days later I passed what I think was the rest of the tissue.

I had a follow-up ultrasound 1 week later and everything looked good. I had an exam, and after bleeding decreased daily and officially stopped spotting 1 week ago.

Unfortunately, no labs have been drawn during this process.

This past I was showing signs of ovulation, and was getting hope that AF would be here in a few weeks.

This afternoon, I had 3 large gushes of red blood, but nothing since. My doctor's office said just to track it over the weekend, and call back Monday if still going on. I know it can't be AF yet.

Has anyone had this experience? Anything I should be worried about? Or is my body still just resetting?

Sometimes the bleeding stops and starts for a little while, it can be normal but probably isn't AF. Definitely keep your doctor posted. Is your hcg back to negative yet? Typically you won't ovulate until it's just about 0 for at least a few days and then you'll get AF a couple weeks after that, but everyone's different.

After my first d&c I hardly bled at all. But I would get random bleeding for the first few weeks. AF finally showed about 45 days after the procedure.

Thank you. I've had some more cramping over the weekend. I'm going to go back in this week and request blood work to check hormone levels.
