slight fever of 98/99 at 36 weeks pregnant. Any tips to help? Already contacted my doctor just waiting to hear back. Was curious what other mamas have done since all we can have is Tylenol.
Tylenol is what I usually take for a fever. I've had a slight fever recently and ended up with a sinus infection. I finally broke my fever after a couple of days of antibiotics.
I just re-read the book from the child birth class and it mentioned getting sick such as a fever or cold was a sign you could be going into labor soon! It mentioned your body tries to flush things out in anticipation. So maybe it's a sign! Orrrr it's just a typical issue with the season change if you're somewhere with seasons! Good luck!
I get fevers quite often just because I get sick with any sleep deprivation so now that the 3rd trimester insomnia and discomfort have checked in... yeah. Not fun. I totally sympathize with you!
Try just sleeping it out or even resting it out. I can't sleep during the day at all so I usually just blast the AC and curl up in a fuzzy blanket on the couch and hydrate with water. A smoothie never hurts either to give you a vitamin boost, plus they just feel good to drink with a fever. I personally like spinach and kale smoothies with banana, strawberries and apple juice. Lots of iron and potassium and vit C! Good luck mama!
It was supposed to be my last week of work but since I got sick I asked to leave work early (which I never ever ever do!) and my HR was so sweet she told me to take the week off and rest up. She said I worked hard enough and she'd take me off the schedule. I am so happy! I was able to rest rest rest all day yesterday and am 85% better! Lots of fruits and smoothies. Water water water and Tylenol. Thanks ladies!
