I tried to do a self check the other day (i usrd to do them to check for ovulation)and was so confused as to what was going on down there i freaked out and decided not to worry about it until my pelvic exam Tuesday lol!
I was 3cm 70% effaced at my appointment Wednesday. I was 35w5d. Freaked me out but it's baby #2 and not uncommon to be dilated. Cervix is not as rigid this time around. I could walk around like this for weeks, hopefully!!!
Fingertip at 36 weeks and 3 days. I had an ultrasound to determine size and they are guessing 7.5. He is back up and head down so they don't know how accurate that is.
I've been 1 cm since like 24 weeks ! Dr said its normal because this is my second pregnancy. I am 35 weeks and 2 days and no idea what I am dialted now.

Yea don't be scaring yourself, plus doing self check yourself during pregnancy isn't recommended !
36 weeks last Thursday 3 cm dilated 70% effaced. I'm feeling like she's about to fall out. My husband is gone until Monday night so I'm hoping she waits.
I'm not doing anymore cervical checks. It really doesn't indicate much at all, I don't know why I even let her this last time. I was curious I guess. I think with my first I was 2cm 70% effaced at my 36 week, I had her at 40w5d. It sort of gets you psyched out for no reason at all. Plus there is no reason to have them digging around in there and IT HURTS.
35weeks 4 days- 1cm second baby. The contractions come and go. As much as im ready to be done being pregnant, i'm hoping baby #2 stays in there a little longer.

They won't do cervical checks here unless we ask for them or have other complications. With my son I didn't have any till my water broke and I was having contractions, he was born at 39weeks 5days.
I'm 37 weeks and was 2cm. I think I'm going to hold off on having them check for a bit now. It really doesn't mean anything and since I tested positive for group b strep I'd rather not have things going up in there haha.
I didn't have one at my 36 week appt this week. Went to ED last night and declined one as well since I wasn't there for contractions, bleeding, etc. If she wants to do one Thursday at my appt I'll let her, but no big deal if not.

They do them routinely after 36 weeks and I never understood why. I just decline them and they are fine with it. Again, why I said yes last week I will never understand. Lol.
