Can I keep my baby in a bubble?

Any one else feel this way? Perhaps I need to just stop watching local news but it's almost every day that I see some article or hear something that scares the crap out of me. FTM and wanting the world to be rainbows and butterflies for our little girl.

    Yessss. I'm a FTM as well, with a precious little boy, and I'm terrified for him already. I'll be that crazy, over protective tiger mom watching over her cub every second of every day... I already know it. I am already barely letting any one come see him because he's so new and fragile. I don't even care that I'm pissing off some of my in laws. His daddy is just as over protective so baby boy is going to have 2x the crazy to watch over him. Judge me if you wanna... ;)

    First day I had my baby girl home I was watching the news and started bawling because of this terrible story I was watching. My SO has banned me from watching the news now.

    Before I even got pregnant, hubby and I felt bad about bringing kids into this crazy world. We even put it off a while. But eventually I couldn't stand it anymore.

    Don't think it's just an FTM thing... It melts my heart how sweet and innocent my little kidlets are, and makes me sad to think how life will change that :(
