Best mommy wraps ?

I have a three week old that is attached to me and I can never put her down luckily I'm a pro with only one hand so I can still go about my day but I want a good carrier for my baby and suggestions ??? That's comfortable and cute

Re: Best mommy wraps ?

  • I love love love my baby ktan. I also have the Bjorn original. The Bjorn is good when I really need to be hands free and it offers more support. The baby ktan is more snuggly but I usually still keep a hand behind his head when wearing it. Neither are really cute but both are comfortable.

  • In the baby Ktan is your baby still safe in it if you neeed two hands ? @BritJonathan
  • Yes your baby is still safe in a Ktan of you need two hands as long as the wrap is positioned properly. If you are in the market for a carrier I would stay away from the Bjorn because it can cause Hip dysplasia. The ergo is a much better choice.

  • I love my ring sling for this age and the ergo for later.

I use the solly baby wrap for this stage. After the newborn stage I become a stroller mom :)

  • I have the Moby wrap and DS loves it! I would never get anything done without it.
  • I have finally mastered the boba wrap.  I like it for home use.  When we are out we use the boba carrier.  The wrap takes some time to set up...but it's nice in the end.
  • Baby loves the boba. :)
  • I just ordered my ring sling! Hope it's as awesome as people say.
  • I love my baby bjorn! And my 6 week old daughter loves it too :) I think baby bjorn is easier for me than the ergobaby... I would trade my ergo baby for another baby bjorn... Lol
  • I've tried them all and my LO hates being carried =(
The k'tan was easier to use then moby though
  • I don't love my ktan, it seems so unstable and droopy to me. Our Moby seems much more secure.

Baby Will born 8/18. He's perfect.
  • I love the solly wrap, and the ergo. Ergo definitely works for longer (my 3.5 year old would still fit)
  • I don't mean to hijack OP. Is there one comparable to the Solly? It is very expensive, and some other wraps are cheaper. KTan isn't very stable unless fitted perfect. TIA.
  • I love my solly, we wear it everyday and the fabric is so light and soft! Plan on using the ergo once he's bigger
  • I have a boba and I like it but it's so hot. I'm thinking about ordering a solly because I think the lighter softer fabric would be worth the money.

It's basically the exact same as the moby, just lighter weight fabric.
  • I'm loving the K'Tan. I have the Ergo as well which I used for DS till he was 18mo old. Can't wait till she's old enough to use that one.

@acgonzalez22 honestly, if you just YouTube it you can make your own. I have a few friends that refuse to pay for a wrap and make their own (a wrap not a carrier obviously).

  • @CaliforniaDream87 Genius! Great for on a budget Mom's. I am so making one! Pinterest has how-to's also. Thanks!
  • I tried every wrap/carrier and ended up retuning them all until I found the Baby Bjorn. By far the best!
  • @destineebabyyyy I watched the videos online of how to put it on and I'm still not comfortable doing housework without a hand on him. My baby has just enough head control to be dangerous: he will randomly launch his head back. I think once he has a little bit more control, I'll feel more comfortable without the hand behind his head.

  • I have a Boba wrap and I love it! I'm in Florida and I will say it is really warm sometimes but if you're going shopping somewhere air conditioned or around the house, it's great!
  • Well after my thread on breastfeeding and getting someone to post a better youtube video for me, I am liking my moby wrap. LO is getting used to it and we used it in intervals today. She would get a little fussy, but stayed in longer each time. We are going to work on it all week so that hopefully I can wear her to the pumpkin patch next Sunday. The moby is thick though and I couldnt imagine having worn it before this week as it is cooling off here finally. If she still doesnt get used to the moby wrap for at least an hour or more at a time this week then ill be diying a ring sling before Sunday.
  • i love my didymos nino woven wrap for this stage. I despise stretchy wraps, just not enough support.

  • Don't mean to hijack but I really want a baby k'tan because I think my LO would love to be worn. But I'm a little nervous about the sizing I know it has to fit nice and snug but I'm usually in between a xs and s. I don't want to get a xs and it not fit but I guess I can always switch it out for the correct size. What do you ladies suggest for sizing of the baby k'tan?

If between sizes I'd suggest sizing down. You can always exchange it for the size bigger... The more snug the better IMO.
