I would pluck them instead of shaving them. It will keep them from coming back as fast. I haven't had them on my chin very much but I have getting them from my belly button to pelvic area.
Wax if you can't pluck. Face shaving for women is a bad idea. I have a friend that had pretty serious facial hair from her cheeks to her chin. She eventually had laser treatment and it worked wonderfully. (Not that I would Suggest doing this during pregnancy)
I've got it.... And I shave. The laser tech girls said shaving better, plucking and waxing increases inflammation and growth hormones in that area... Ugh. Hormonal chin it's called. Hate it!!
So I had peach fuzz like this then went on Spiro an antiandrogen .. Now i can't take that while pregnant. Anyhow I have little blonde hairs ,I totally just shaved that !!! It's the easiest and it doesn't grow back thicker , its pretty fine and light to begin with. I went to a facial and she actually shaved my whole face but more so just for dead skin exfoliation it felt baby smooth ! I think she used a special blade. Anyhow I did discover I can do the same thing with an eyebrow shaping razor to exfoliate and get rid of unwanted hair and dead skin. just be careful !! It may depend on the thickness and darkness of your hair , but I haven't had any problems.
I have very fine blonde peach fuzz and shave using an eyebrow razor. You can buy them in a pack of 3 (like below) on Amazon really cheaply. If you go on YouTube and look up the MM&L channel there is a vlog about how to do it.
Shaving does NOT cause the hair to grow back faster, thicker or coarser. Waxing is very damaging to the skin and if you use a shaver like the ones below it also gently exfoliates the skin at the same time.
I haven't had hairs on my chin. But I have got more hair growing on my cheeks that goes under my ear, and is now starting to go on to my neck. Luckily they are not too thick, but they are kind of fuzzy and a bit dark. I will definitely get one of those eyebrow razors, I don't want to start looking like wolverine lol. Thanks for the tip TacoSarah! Xx ;-)
This is a non pregnant problem for me, made worse by pregnancy. I'm just glad I can now use the pregnant excuse instead of just admitting to being a hairy she-beast.
I switch between shaving, plucking, and occasionally using a hair removal cream. Usually depends on how bad it is and how quickly I need to make myself presentable.
I thought I was the only one! I've always had kind of a hairy face. Thankfully it's all blonde but still. My mom is the same way and I never notice it on her nor think anything of it but I'm so critical of myself. I heard shaving is good for your skin but i was so afraid I'd get stubbly.
