Baby having surgery... nervous!

We were informed on Wednesday that our daughter might need surgery for her hernia. It had gotten bigger and had changed color within a week and a half of the doctor seeing it. We'll have a referral for a pediatric surgeon within the next 2 weeks. I'm so nervous and scared half to death about it!
Any advice or has anyone gone through this? As weird as it sounds, you can literally feel and hear bubbles from her hernia. I can tell it's causing her discomfort now.

Well this answers my question on the tummy time post about this. Ill pray for her and for you to stay calm. Everything will go just fine no matter what has to happen. ::hugs:: I know its scary momma, but she will be in good hands.

Omg!I was debating on posting this too, Im dealing with something very similar the gurgiling is freaking me out and now it pops right back out after I get it to go back. His is in the groin area, where is your daughters?

His hasnt changed color but is a lot bigger and he just saw the Dr. Tuesday. His Surgery is Oct. 9th, I'm nervous too. But I'm more nervous with the hernia because it can get stuck or twisted.

@Boslove hers is right where her belly button is. It used to be an "innie" and then popped out at 7 weeks. I realized after it kept getting bigger that it was a hernia. Her dr said not to worry about it, but now she's concerned.

My daughter had gastroschisis which is basically when the hernia ruptures the skin and her intestines actually were out of her body! :-S but she was very blessed and had surgery the day after delivery and healed well. She had to stay in the nicu for three weeks... But seeing that your baby has a hernia I'm thinking the surgery will go well!! So try not to fret TOO much, prayers going your way
