Kids say the darnedest things!

Fortunately the thread about people saying rude things about being pregnant has not applied to me. I feel for all you out the with the rude mothers, fathers ER doctors and just people in general.

But.... I have had kids make comments, and they just make me laugh!!
I was at a birthday party over the weekend and a little 3 yr old came up and asked me, "why is your tummy so full?" Haha. I told her I must have eaten to much ice cream cake!

I used to get from my 7 year old students (even those who'd JUST had a little sibling) "So next week/ month the baby will be here, right?" or "The baby's STILL hasn't come out yet?"... when I was 4 months pregnant..." Awwwww the blissful ignorance to time. I miss that.

Last week I told the youngest that we had a baby appointment and he looked at me and goes "Yay!! The baby's coming out!" I was like no hunny not yet. He still has time to stay in there. He also think the baby coming will magically make him physically bigger not just a big brother lol

My niece kindly offered to come stay with us for a month after the baby is born to help us out. She's 6! I think she was hoping to help while the baby is still tiny.

I thanked her and told her if she were tall enough to reach the cereal cabinet, we could have talked.

That's cute. Everytime the neighbors 4 yr old see's me he gives me a hug and rubs my belly... Feels kinda awkward being that we just moved in and I hardly know them!

My friends little girl asked me if I was having a baby, I said yes, she asked if the baby was a girl, I told her no he's a boy, she told me she wants me to have a girl. I told her well he's a boy, she told me I need to change it because she doesn't want a boy...

I substitute teach and was in 3rd grade last week. One of the kids asked if I had children. I told them that I would have one soon. He said "oh, I was wondering why you had put on a little weight!" Then he said, "you really need to look into getting the Disney channel. Kids really like it!"

When I told my cousin's 5 year old daughter it was a girl, she said "who got to decide it gets to be a girl!?"

We were talking to our 6 year old about after the the baby is born and asked what he would do if the baby was crying and he said "um, say sorry?" Haha!

My son looked at my belly this morning and said it looked like my belly button was about to "bex-splode."

DD asked when the baby was coming. I told he I didn't know, that it was up to Jesus. She responded " I have been asking Jesus. I think he forgot that the baby is supposed to come out. You'll probably be pregnant until forever.:

i went on vacation during the summer and had a lil boy approach me in a water park he must have been 3 or so he put his ear to my belly ask asked what was wrong with me ...? what did i have in there? i said a baby! his face looked amazed and stated jumping up n down and clapping his hand then kissed my belly and walked away!

My cousin's daughter is 4 and told her mom that they needed to getting her "baby sister cousin's" room set up. When my cousin explained the baby wasn't going to live with them she started crying.

She also told me last week "to go to the hospital and get her baby sister cousin out".

My third grader asked if we could pray for another baby after this one. (I have had a terrible pregnancy with nausea/vomiting/back pain/etc.) I told him he could, but I wasn't going to. I think he and my hubs are in cahoots!

This is non-baby related but it cracked me up. In the grocery store the other day, a little boy was shopping with his mom and he looks over at something and goes "'Gloo-ten free'.... That means 'no feathers' right mommy?" LMAO I was dying.

I was baby sitting two kids for a friend. The older who is 4 and remembers when his sister was in mommy's tummy says, "So there's a baby in your tummy right?" I say, "yes." He thinks for a long time and then says, "Is he just in there with all your food? When I eat food it comes out later as poop. and sometimes i have to push really hard to go poop. IF YOU PUSH TO HARD WHEN YOU POOP WILL THE BABY COME OUT!" Part of me wanted to tell him that he had no idea how right he was.

My 2.5yo daughter came into the bathroom when I was just getting out of the shower...she came up to me and placed her finger over my belly button (which is now completely flat and flush to my belly) and said, "Oh, hurt! Ouch! Mommy Bandaid!" She thinks it's a boo-boo :P

My son who is 4 came with me to visit my friend and her 3 month old son. He informed me tonight that he is "allergic to babies". Guess I'll be buying some Claritin for when I have this baby !!!

I went to put my jeans on earlier (pre-pregnancy one that I can only wear super low) as I buttoned them my 8 year old looks at me and he says "mommy I don't think you're going to be able to wear those much longer." Thanks little man lol
