Possible identical twins??

I had a 5dt on 8/29, and confirmed BFP after 4.5dpt! My beta was 342 on 14dpo, and my levels were 1340 at 16dpo. Before our transfer, we saw a picture of our embryo and it looked to me like it was already splitting, even though the embryologist said it was just normal hatching. Take a look at the below - anyone think this could be identical twins? My last pregnancy was identical girls (naturally conceived) - who we lost at 19 weeks due to a genetic abnormality (hence the long year of IVF and PGD).

    I would have said the 342 is a strong singleton but that 1340 16dpo puts me in mind of twins. For perspective my singletons were 250 & 300 14dpo and doubled to 500 & 600 16dpo. Time will tell. Congrats on a strong BFP! FX for a H&H9.

    could go either way.  I think you'll have to wait for u/s to see.  I've seen high betas with singletons and low ones with twins.

    Your betas do show a fast rise, and that picture does look way different than other pics of single embies I have seen. With my singleton, my doubling time was around 60 hours. With the twins it was around 36 hours. I think there are a lot of signs that it might be twins, but really an u/s is the only way to know for sure. Congratulations on your pregnancy and wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!
