What was your experience with Clomid and the trigger shot?

Hello All,
I just wanted to seek guidance or advise as to whether this first round of Clomid will be a success. I am 30 years old and I have had 2 miscarriages. The specialist put me on my first round of clomid from day 3 to day 7. When I went into the doctor on day 10 I had two mature Follicles one 25 and 16. She gave me the trigger shot. What are the odds of getting pregnant and/ or possibly twins. I would love to hear other people's experiences.

    One was 24 not 25.

    Twins would not be likely with only 2 follicles (both would have to fertilize). Fingers crossed for good news!!

    Odds are hard to say depending on what's causing your infertility.  I agree with kgbbsc7 that with 2 mature eggs, the likelihood of twins is pretty low.  FX for you!  Just in a general sense, from a study I saw at shadygrovefertility.com, IUI success rate for pregnancy and birth was around 10-15% per cycle depending on what your diagnosis is.

    Yes I have heard varying statistics . It depends on your age and diagnosis . I am 28 and have an ovulation disorder (PCOS) and my RE estimates that there would be a 20 % chance of IUI or TI working . My gyno seems to think the chance is closer to 30 % though that seems very high and I have not seen percentages that high in studies I have read . I suppose it just depends on a lot of different factors . Good luck !!!

    DH: 29
    Us: Married Valentine's Day, 2015
    DH: No issues.
    Me: PCOS, unexplained infertility (whatever that means!!)
    June 2015 Medicated TI cycle: BFN
    July 2015:  Medicated TI cycle: BFN
    August 2015: IUI: BFP. Chemical pregnancy :(
    October 2015: IUI: BFN
    January 2016: Egg retrieval: 10 frozen embryos!
    March 2016: FET Cycle- 2 embryos transferred!: BFP !

    I just did my first cycle of Clomid and I released two mature eggs as well. I'm in the last week of my 2ww and I'm going nuts looking for positive symptoms. But nothing there. Im hopeful though. good luck!

    Last night I had a dream that I was getting my pregnancy blood test results and she told me I was pregnant and that I was pregnant with twin boys. Just a dream, but I go in for my blood test on September 18th. All I want is a healthy happy baby!!
