Mucus plug

ok I'm 39 weeks 1 Day! And since tuesday I've been losing my mucus plug Tuesday it was streaked with blood then Wednesday it was just a light greenish color, now today it's like a brownish color. Each day I lose a large amount ! Light pains in my private area but not consistent, can anyone tell me is anything serious going to happen? Or what's going on? btw I'm a FTM

    It really means nothing. With #1 I lost the whole thing at once and the next morning my water broke. With #2 I kept losing more and more of it and never went into labor on my own. And #3 was a planned C-section, never lost mucous plug, but was in labor when I got to the hospital already. Hopefully it's soon for you.

    You can lose your plug multiple times, as it regenerates. Losing it is mother serious. Being 39 weeks labor is close either way. Just keep an eye out for contractions and any bleeding. If you have anything that seems like a cause for concern, you can call your OB/MW or call labor and deliver at the hospital you'll be delivering at.
