12 weeks is about the earliest you can find out from ultrasound, although you get more accurate results if you wait a few weeks longer. So you have a good chance if they do an ultrasound at your appointment. Of course, your baby can always refuse to cooperate by clamping its legs together or like my son, shove the umbilical cord between its legs the whole time. So there are no guarantees.
If insurance will cover it, you could do a blood test for cell free DNA (like MaterniT21 or Harmony) and find out as early as 10 weeks. Since it's a DNA test, it's super accurate.
In my city every elective place guarantees gender at 14 weeks. Literally everyone (who finds out), does this, and I e never heard them be wrong. But they have super advanced machines, not sure if your doctor's office has them.
