  • Following!! Having the same issue!

  • I don't have he answer to your question, but...try patting dry baby's skin before applying the butt paste or desitin
  • Have you tried switching the kind of diapers your LO uses?
  • I had the same issue, used various creams but the rash just kept getting worse. Then I started using baby poweder. I know they say not to use it because baby can inhale it, but I just put some in my hand away from her face, and then put it on her butt, that way it doesn't go everywhere. Also read to use corn starch based instead of talk. The rash got better within a day. I figured I'll go back to using the creams once it's cleared.
  • Patting the area dry after every diaper change helps a lot. Also, applying coconut oil is useful. Not sure about changing your diet but have you thought of cloth diapering? It could be an allergy to the diapers you're using.
  • If you use cloth diapers becareful what detergent you use.
  • My DD used to get diaper rash so bad that her skin would wipe away. We changed brands of diapers, wipes, creams. She was changed every hour on the hour, you name it we did it. The dr. finally told me to mix Balmex with vagasil. I would squeeze both into my hand then mix it with my fiiger and apply it. With in 3 days her rash was gone. Anytime we saw something starting, we did it again and it never got bad. Even now, she is 6 years old, if she gets a rash, thats my go to. We will be using it again with our second DD.
Btw, I swear my kid isnt dirty or was left to sit in her diapers causing this bad a rash. The drs just say she is extremely sensitive. I swear I bathe my kid

  • Some babies do react to foods in mom's diet while breastfeeding, but multiple symptoms are usually present. The rash involved is usually a red ring around the anus, stool can be green AND contain mucous and blood, skin rashes/eczema in other places, reflux, and fussiness.

I doubt your baby's rash is caused by what you are eating, unless some of the other symptoms are also present.

In addition to previous device, try giving diaper free time when possible. We used to lay a thick towel on top of the pack and play mattress because it's the easiest to change.
