  hi @knottie24173360 I also asked for some advice from the ladies on this PIO shot  in another discussion thread on here as I may be doing these soon and good some good advice including: 

  -do the shot above the butt cheek sort of toward the hip

  -walk around 20-30 minutes after your first few days of shots

  -alternate sides

  -ice

  most people that responded to my post didn't share any horror stories so it make me less anxious than I was about the PIO--we must have been reading the same stuff because I was very scared of this shot.

  @Knottie24173360 The PIO's are not bad at all, the main main thing is to ICE at least for 5 to 10 mins make sure your RE office marks your flanks so you get the injection in the same area every time, I found it best to lay on my stomach on my bed at the edge my feet pointing to the foot or the head depending on the side I was doing that day, make sure DH has the slant of the needle pointed upward and to always draw back a shmige once needle is in skin to not have hit a blood vessel once he's in count to 10 and your oil should be completely injected pull out at the same angle you went in bandaid if needed and start to rub with open palm the injection site to massage oil into muscle make sure you heat pad for 10-15 mins after makes a world of difference and its best in the morning so you have the entire day to move around....
