I'm 39+5 and still waiting for LO to arrive but really looking forward to being able to sleep on my stomach again and eventually enjoy some Mountain Dew or beers!!
What's one thing you are looking forward to postpartum?
Definitely the options of not sleeping on my side! Hoping the constant heart burn goes away, in general hoping to feel less miserable. Mostly excited about holding baby girl in my arms and seeing hubby with her. Also, I want a coke and a hot dog as a post partum meal - my mom has the job of getting me this before I leave the hospital. I can't have either bc of severe migraines during my pregnancy.
Sleeping on my stomach!!! Prepregnancy I couldn't fall asleep unless I slept on my stomach, so not being able to, plus all the pregnancy pains, has made sleeping 100% impossible. I know I'll have a crying baby but I know I'll get better sleep without the belly in the way
Get back in my old clothes! I hate maternity clothes And get off the floor without rolling around and grunting lol. Oh and paint my toe nails without having to pay someone to do it. Ahh the little things
Being able to flop down on my stomach on my bed an pass out. I have a terrible back and this pregnancy has been the worst with it! I can't wait to eat and drink literally whatever I want without worrying and taking medicine without checking my pre approved list. Also clothes fitting better. I have always worn big sweats and big t shirts and for The past month I can't even wear them because I'm too big
Real jeans, heels or any shoes without thinking if they have back support, 2 cups of coffee, eating as much as I want without worrying if it's too much for my stomach, sitting and walking without pain, sleeping on my back without waking up or feeling lightheaded, sleeping on my stomach, sex without feeling like a whale, knowing if I'm actually sick/feel good or if it's just pregnancy symptoms... uh yeah that's good for now haha
Not having to pee every five minutes! I clearly remember my first thought, when I first went to the bathroom after my last birth: thank God I won't be peeing constantly anymore!!!
I just can't want to hold my little man! But after that, a 7-11 Spicy Bite with all the toppings. I can justify sausages/brats I cook extra long at home, but not gas station food, lol.
I want coffee! Lots and lots of coffee!! I also want to sleep like a normal person, wear jeans that fit, go running, and eat food without getting sick! After the baby is born, I want Starbucks and chili cheese dogs!
Corona light. Stomach sleeping. Taking a nice deep breath. Painting toe nails comfortably. Standing up from the floor easily. Working out. Shaving without getting bumps. Regular clothing. Not feeling like a shower with blow dry is such a big deal.
Being able to lay down flat without having instant heartburn. Wine! Coffee. My old sex life. My pre-baby clothes. Painting my toes. Grooming my lady bits without going in blind.
Walking like a normal person ... bye bye waddle. Being able to actually RUN after my 5 yr old when she's doing crazy things and not worrying DD2 will drop out or I'll hurt myself. Sleeping in ANY position I feel like. Getting rid of acid reflux. Feeling like the insides of my body are not being invaded. Sushi! Wine, wine, wine and a mohjito! But most of all seeing my 2 DDs meet eachother for the first time!
I can't wait to see my baby boy! Also, sleeping on my back and stomach, wine, all sorts of cheese, sex! And just feeling better. Body is aching all the time. Want to be normal again.
I'm so on board with most of the things here, but as silly as it sounds, I'm going to add raw cookie dough to the list, haha.

Looking forward to being a morning person again, and not a perpetually tired blob. I also can't wait to get my mobility back. I want to run and work out so badly, but just getting up to go to the bathroom is a strain right now. Lastly, having my hands feet and ankles back would be awesome.
I was looking forward to finally being able to sleep on my belly again but then realized I still can't thanks to my humongous painful boobs full of milk
Sleeping on my stomach. Yes. Beer. Yes Sushi. Being released from the immense pressure I feel everytime I stand up. Less/no hip pain. Being able to breathe again.

That will get better once your supply levels out. It doesn't last the whole time you are breastfeeding, just until your body figures out how much baby needs and makes the right amount. At least, that was my experience.
Wine, coffee, wearing regular clothes, being able to walk without a waddle, sleeping on my stomach, eating whatever I want, playing tennis (Omg I can't wait!), enjoying life without hot flashes, and being able to clean my house properly. I'm most looking forward to seeing my husband and baby girl together. She's not even born yet and she's already got him wrapped around her finger. I'm so close to having my girl!
