Hi!
I am 22 going into 23 weeks pregnant. My bump has not become restrictive yet and is still quite tidy and neat which has allowed me to continue my regular exercise routine however i am worried that despite the doctors / midwives telling me to continue as normal that i am heightening my chances of a miscarriage.
I would be grateful if other active mum / mum to be could pass on some reassurance / advice.
Thanks

It depends on what you were doing previously. My doctor said continue as normal but knock it back to 75% and then I explained I did high intensity interveral training and she quickly changed her tune. I then saw a PT and now do light cardio and weights with exercises designed not to use any core or interfere with my bump. For example, avoiding push ups because I have no core muscles to stabilise my back. The aim is not to get my heart rate too high or overheat.
