Re: Weekly check-in - Sept 9

  • Laurie/MA

It depends on when you want to consider us starting. Got married in June and started trying right away but not doing anything but having more sex. Used an OPK last month and are temping and using a fertility monitor this month. TTC#1 (and likely only at this age)

Waiting to O and no that isn't orgasm. :)

One minute I am positive and hopeful and the next minute I am wondering if this can happen

Wax Museum (but can't remember where it was)

  • Hello!

    1. BulgariHeart. Bicoastal.

    2. TTC #1. Taking a month off after 3 cycles trying.

    3. Charting/temping. Acupuncture and TCM remedies. Vitamin and mineral supplementation. I just saw my acupuncturist and got new drops. I also ordered a nettle tea blend I'm supposed to drink per my Maya Massage Therapist.

    4. CD12. 1dpo I think.

    5. Physically I feel great. I'm healthy, active and mentally ready for this to happen. I'm trying to concentrate on addressing what needs to be addressed while remaining positive, otherwise an unhealthy cloud of doubt will take over me and set me back.

QOTW most definitely the Galleria Borghese in Rome. An astonishing collection of paintings and sculptures by Bernini, Borromini, Caravaggio, Correggio, Raphael, Titian etc. My absolute favorite is the sculpture of Apollo and Daphne by Bernini.

  • Hi Ladies,

    Kmetcalfe77, East Coast, 37

    TTC#1 for 13 months.

Just got BFN beta yesterday. Was my third IUI and fourth medicated cycle. Waiting for AF to show after stopping progesterone.
Plan is to start injectibles next cycle and do another IUI.

Museum: this is an obvious one but when I was visiting NYC last fall, I spent a morning by myself at the Museum of Modern Art. It was fantastic and especially by myself since I could spend as much time as I wanted.
      • TTC #1 since August 2014
      • currently on 5th medicated IUI cycle
  • Hi everyone!

    1. Sinnet from upstate NY

    2. TTC #4 again after mc in July. First cycle trying. First I was given the go ahead to try, then another dr told me to hold off and ordered more tests...it was a little late at that point.

    3. I was referred to a high risk ob who ordered more tests. All those have since come back normal, but we're still waiting on chromosome testing of DH and me. I've been charting/temping, and am still taking my pnvs.

    4. According to ff I'm 5dpo. I'm gonna try not to get my hopes up and test early, so I'm hoping to wait until af is due (sept 19) to avoid any more disappointment.

    5. I've always been optimistic every month charting in the past, so I feel good about this cycle, but again, trying not to get my hopes up.

QOTW: Can't think of any "adult" museums, but my kids love the children's museum & science museum here. We spend the whole entire day at them and it's hard to get them out. :)

  • @jilligan14 - YAY! :)

    1. Heather from MN

    2. TTC #2 for too long...

    3. Natural cycle - first one since March.  Still doing CoQ10, myo-inositol, 6g fish oil, PNV, Vit D, B-complex.  Added some TCM herbs from my acupuncturist, chamomile tea per my MAM therapist.  Doing acupuncture, Mayan abdominal massage, finding a new Reiki practitioner (my mood has been foul, I need REIKI!), meditation.  OPKs, temping.  All the stuff.  I'm guessing I had a lot of residual cysts plus with my PCOS, I'm pretty sure my chances are low this month, but stranger things have happened! :) Oh, and I'm having a saline infused sonogram, trial transfer, and lab work done tomorrow by my RE.  I'm very nervous about these tests for some reason.

    4. CD9, WTO (probably will be waiting several weeks yet).

    5. Trying not to get too hopeful, but I am.  If we could just get it done this month, it would save us a TON of money...

Museum - For some reason, I can only think of the Smithsonian Museums in Washington DC.  :)
    *** Child & current pregnancy mentioned ***
    Me - 41 (PCOS), Hubby - 43 (healthy)
7/2013 - Sweet baby girl born (Clomid + TI)

    2. 1st month back at it after losing our baby at 22w. So I guess technically we're TTC#2

    3. Accupuncture, OPK, pre-natals, probiotics, herbs, and clomid. Not going back to RE till January if we don't get a BFP by then.

    4. 1 DPO, I probably won't test till AF is due

    5. I'm not sure how to feel. It would be great if I get the BFP so soon but I'm not getting my hopes up too high.

QOTW: For now I'd have to say the Getty museum here in LA...

    ttc #1 for a while

Preparing for a FET of our day 5 blast. I have my lining check appt tomorrow. It is anticipated that the transfer will be sometime next week. Assuming all looks good tomorrow, we will determine and schedule the transfer date tomorrow.

I have not had as much time to think and feel about ttc as usual. Work has been even crazier than it usually is this time of year - extra challenges tossed in this season. So i haven't had much time to contemplate things. Probably for the best, but i do hope to be able to focus on it a little more after the transfer (have to mentally gear up for those IM progesterone shots again!!!)

QOTW: Two favs are Air and Space Museum in DC and Musee d'Orsay in Paris.

@jilligan14 - yay for your positive OPK! Fx you are getting ready to O! PS: Don't go too crazy with those sweet potatoes :)

@kmetcalfe77 - sorry about your IUI results. Wishing you all the best the next round.

@emsmama15 - good-luck with your tests today. You will do great.

  • A little late to party this week
    1- Jennifer from NY
2- TTC #2 for about a year now.
3- OPK. I gave up on temping because I suck at it. Tracking on FF
4- I'm in the 2ww and trying not to pee on every stick in the house. (I have a pack of 20 cheapie tests, plus I just a bought another 4 early digital tests)
5- feeling scared, tired and like time is running out for me. I need to have BRCA testing done because of family history. Even if it's negative they want my ovaries out before 40.

QOTW- not sure if I have a favorite museum. I'm not exactly the quietly look at things type.

    2. TTC #5 (#1 for SO) for the past 13mo.
    Recurrent loss...

    3. Opk's, charting temps, Seed Cycling, Maya Abdominal Massage, castor oil packs before O, prenatals, 1500mg fish oil, (need to get back to swimming..took the past week off.) Also, I forgot to take mucinex..so I literally had very little EWCM this cycle.

    4. Cd14 waiting for FF to give me crosshairs. I got a Peak digital reading on cd11, which is very uncommon for me. I usually O on cd16, but as of now aside from major ovulation pain for the past 4 days, I have no cm. My temps have been higher this month in general, and I haven't been consistent with sleep so have a lot of open circles.

    5. I feel discouraged. Angry with patches of sadness followed by defeat. That almost sounds like a forecast. :-B
I have no clue about this cycle. I guess if I'm honest I have no hope for it to be our month, that's not to say I won't be crushed if it's another BFN.

QOTW: I loved the Museé du Louvre! I mean, who wouldn't?! I'm a major art history geek, so I felt like I was in a candy shop being there.

    2) ttc #2 after mc in July

    3) acupuncture, herbs, vitex, fish oil, pnv, vit d, progesterone cream after o, maya abdominal massage, the kitchen sink...

    4) cd 7, I usually o around cd16

    5) I've been pretty stressed about ttc and work, etc. which usually doesn't bode well but it's still early in my cycle and there's always hope

    Museum: field museum in Chicago
  • 1. Amanda Marie from MD

    2. TTC #1, 3rd cycle

    3. Back to temping and CM tracking

    4. I'm in the TWW.  FF suggest that I test on September 20th, which is my anniversary.  If I don't get my period by then I might, but I might wait since a negative would put a bit of a damper on the day.

    5. I feel fine.  Hubby is doing well since our little hiccup last month.  We didn't do much around the time of O, but did manage to hit the O day, so that's good.

QOTW: what is a favorite museum of yours that you would recommend to visit?
Here in DC - The National Zoo (it's part of the Smithsonian, so as far as I'm concerned it counts!).  Our favorites are the tigers!  The cubs are two years old and still fun to watch (way more fun than the panda that gets all the attention, but really just sits around and eats all day).

Out of DC - Barcelona has a Chocolate Museum!  Yes, Chocolate!  It talks about how explorers brought back chocolate from the new world and the growth of  the chocolate industry and Europe, but then there are all of these amazing sculptures made from chocolate!  Oh, and your ticket into the museum is a chocolate bar that you get to eat after.

    2. TTC #1 since January (MMC + chemical pregnancy)

    3. I'm CD7 and just started temping and opks for this cycle.  I was going to skip it this month to take an emotional break following the chemical pregnancy, but not doing anything made me feel like I had given up and made me sadder.

    4. CD7 and I absolutely refuse to test before AF is missed from now on.  I'd rather skip the heartache of another chemical.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle?  Pessimistic.  And I'd feel pessimistic even if I got a BFP.  I don't know how to get out of this negative place.  I feel bad for bringing that feeling here.

QOTW: I love art museums SO MUCH. I've been to art museums in Italy and New York, but my favorite experience was close to home.  There was a Degas exhibit at the art museum in Naples and they had his ballerina sculpture.  I usually prefer paintings, but I stared at this for half an hour, reluctant to leave it knowing I would probably never see it again.
