Good News After a Small Scare

Monday evening I noticed a small amount of brownish-red bleeding when I used the toilet, which continued in a small amount through the night and following morning along with some cramping.  The logical part of my brain knows that it isn't an automatic cause for alarm, but I didn't experience any bleeding at all in my first two pregnancies, so it freaked me out.  I had a previously scheduled appointment and ultrasound with my OB for today, and after discussion with them we decided to wait it out for the regular appointment.  We went in for the u/s this morning, and saw a little nugget with a heart beat right away!  The heart rate was 154 at 7w4d!  They couldn't find any specific source of the bleeding either, and it has subsided.  Super relieved!

    I went through something similar around week 6 but I've since had a great u/s and heartbeat and now I'm almost at 9 weeks! I love seeing these posts and it's so helpful to all of the women who may be freaking out over some spotting. It's great to hear these success stories!
