How are you keeping busy??

I think we can all agree the home stretch is a little nerve wracking!
I don't have cable, and mainly use reading and Internet to pass the down time. I used to paint, knit, bake, and other fun DIY projects but I'm much happier laying around at this stage.

However my need to lay down has exhausted what I normally do to keep my mind busy. I am getting bored so easily! I find myself researching the same things about babies and birth I'm just can't get my mind of of the impending due date!

Let's share our unique ways to keep our minds off our LO'S while positively passing the time!

I'm looking for a good book suggestion, something in theme for Halloween maybe?

Re: How are you keeping busy??

  • I love to read anyway so that's been keeping me pretty occupied during these low energy days. Dean Koontz is a great author with some pretty good mystery/thrillers under his belt. I've read so many of his books I can't even think of a specific one to suggest for the Halloween season lol. & I'm a bit of a video game nerd too so if I'm not reading & researching baby stuff, cleaning or organizing baby things, video games keep me sane too

  • My DH nonstop games, and he plays things that I can't get into unfortunately. I'll have to look into the book suggestions thanks!
  • I normally love to read but since being pregnant I have no desire to. We don't have cable but get basic channels and have netflix, so I do watch stuff on there when I want to be lazy. I've been trying to work in the nursery and pick small organization projects around the house that I can do, like making room for baby things in the bathroom cabinets and set up our small office area in our kitchen.

I did hear about a book called You by Carolina Kepnes on tv that I do want to read. It compared it to Gone Girl, which I really liked, so maybe one day I'll get back around to reading!
  • Uh, working full time, and caring for my toddler and husband just about takes up all my time. The rest is filled with making freezer meals and sorting through baby clothes. I'm unfamiliar with just trying to "pass the time." What is that? ;)
  • School started back up for me. When I'm not doing that I'm getting ready for baby and just keeping my home in order. When it comes to down time I like watching TV and my husband and I like playing video games. I also read sometimes but haven't done a whole lot this summer.
  • I wish I was having trouble finding stuff to do!! I work full time and do everything around the house still. Plus we have a lot of animals for me to take care of (horses, goats, donkey, chickens, cats, dogs) that I still can do everything for except muck horse stalls. On top of that I have gotten our whole house cleaned from top to bottom and everything corneas out and organized. Maybe I will slow down during the last week or two.
