Anatomy Scan Postponed

I went in for my anatomy scan today only to find out that the ultrasound tech does not work Tuesdays and I had to reschedule for 2 weeks out. The same thing happened when I went for my nuchal exam so I'm considering changing drs

    I'm worried that I'm too far along to be considering changing drs. And I'm also worried about having to wait 6 weeks between appointments..

    You still have time to change if you want to. I know my dr takes patients until 36 weeks. 6 weeks is pretty normal between visits at this stage!

    That seems like something they should know when they schedule you? Seems really unprofessional to me. You can change doctors pretty much whenever you want, as PP said some doctors have cut off dates but if you're in January group you're nowhere close to the cutoff. I've been considering changing doctors too and I think it's totally worth it for a more professional patient friendly doctor.

    I am at the point where I am be being seen every 4 weeks.  I think most of us should be once we hit the 20 week mark, maybe I am wrong.  I thought the 2nd trimester you get seen every 4 weeks, and 3rd trimester it's every 2 weeks.  I will say that my next one happens to be about 5 1/2 weeks, because I purposely scheduled it on Veteran's Day, so I wouldn't  have to take a day off from work (school teacher). I need as much sick time as I can keep for my maternity leave. =P I'd change Dr.'s if you're thinking about it at this point.  Who's to say that they won't do this to you again.  That's frustrating and I know for myself, I'd be pretty mad as well as impatient.

    I agree with PP, switch doctors. The office sounds super unprofessional if they are consistently booking you for tests and they don't know what days their staff works. I switched because of a move at 19 weeks and it was a smooth transition. I don't know where you live, but if you play nice on the phone, I would think you could get a doctor to squeeze you in with the next few weeks. also, I think the AS is done during a particular period so you might have to get that done at the old place just in case.
