Hello and question about prenatals ******warning loss mentioned*******

Hi Everyone,

I am introducing myself and am extremely happy to be a part of your board!! My FH and I are getting married in 2 months and we are going to start TTC immediately. We are both 33 and are nervous about finally trying, but are very excited at the same time.

I have read a few prenatal posts, but don't see anyone who is on the First Response prenatal gummies. Is anyone taking these, or have feedback on this specific brand? They have a prenatal for when you are trying to get pregnant (which I have already started), and then another prenatal that you take when you are pregnant.

A little about me, I got pregnant at the age of 18 (unplanned). I ended up having an abortion. (Please don't judge me). Even 15 years later, as I type that I have tears running down my face. It was one of the hardest decisions of my life and even though the doctor has assured me that it won't affect trying to get pregnant now, I am fearful. I am so scared that I won't be able to finally get pregnant or have a baby because of my decision years ago. My FI has been extremely supportive and understanding, but just wanted to ask others who have dealt with this if you have any suggestions or advice surrounding this. I was in counseling for this year's ago, but am thinking of going again just because of all the suppressed emotions coming to the surface.

I appreciate anyone who took the time to read and am looking forward to spending time here over the next two months to make the time pass quickly!!

    Hi!!!!! It makes me SO happy that you are talking about this because I hate that it is taboo. So many women have had abortions and it is NOT an easy decision. It is one that haunts you forever. I know because I also had one at 20. I've always wanted to be a mom but it just wasn't going to work at that time. It was a decision I made and I can't take it back, so I'm also hoping no one judges me for it.

    I think that as you start this ttc journey and future pregnancy, counseling might be necessary. I know for me it will remind me so much of the fetus I was so excited about when I was 20 and then shortly had to say goodbye to. I had counseling right after the procedure but my counselor had also mentioned that when I get pregnant again that I might struggle with it.

    It's always a struggle and it's always in the back of my mind.

    Welcome! I hope TTC goes great for you! No judgement here either; I think it's brave to share your story and could never hurt to revisit counseling as you start the process.

    @LavenderBrown1018 - thank you!!!! I am so grateful that you are talking about it too!! I know that we are definitely not the only people who have had abortions, but sometimes it seems that way since it is such a hush hush topic. It took me awhile to tell my FI about the past (I told him before he was my FI), but he has been so supportive through everything which is amazing. 

    It is definitely NOT an easy decision, but just like you, I can't take it back.

    I definitely agree that I need counseling currently, and after rereading what I wrote during my lunch break, it further cements that decision.

    Either way, I am super excited to finally start TTC in a couple of months!! My fingers are crossed that I don't have wait too long to become pregnant, but only time will tell.

    Welcome! I wish you best of luck through your TTC journey.

    Definitely no judgment here...you are very brave to share your story, and it took a lot for you to make that choice.  I'm sure that having a counseling session would be very beneficial for you as you start your journey.

    Hi, I'm pretty new too. It's nice to meet you. I commend your bravery for sharing your story. No judgement - nothing but warm wishes from me. I think seeing someone is a great idea - especially with the mood swings that sometimes come along with TTC. 

    As for the prenatals. I can't speak for the First Response ones, but I love gummies. I use the Target generic brand ones as they are the only ones my sensitive stomach can handle. I swear by gummy vitamins.

    No judgement here either. As for the prenatals, I've been taking Rainbow Lite and really like them.
