There are LOTS of "ranting" or "drama" posts lately. I know we are all very hormonal as we are reaching the end of our pregnancies but honestly, to distract myself from these LONG weeks, I just think about food.

Lots of places have Taco Tuesday's SOOO today my motivation is TACO's for dinner!!! My mom is coming to visit tomorrow and helping me deep clean our house and prep some meals for post baby. I keep trying to make plans and have things to look forward to.

What other fun things are helping you through?!? I'm always looking for things to add to my list!

Time is a crazy thing right now some days I feel like time is dragging and I will be pregnant forever. But other days the day just flies by and the whole week is gone before I know it. I try to give myself little goals for what I want to do over the next few days and not beat myself up if I have an crappy day and don't accomplish anything. DH and I both work full time he is on first and or second shift depending on the day and I'm on 1st shift but throw in a 4 and 1 yr old and I feel constantly busy:) I make a list of little things I want to do for the week and slowly try to accomplish them. Such as this weeks list currently says take everything out of fridge wipe down and replace (I hate a dirty fridge), make 2 crockpot meals and freeze, and take kids fishing at least once. Nothing super important but with all the other day to day stuff it keeps me busy. On the taco comment I had those 3 times (once fast food twice homeade) last week and they were all AMAZING. This past weekend I made Zuppa Tuscana (Olive Garden Sausage Soup) and found a new family favorite. I'm ridiculously excited about making more to freeze for while on maternity leave. Ya I'm a dork....
  • I was all about Mexican food and Taco Bell until a few weeks ago. We were having tacos or some kinda Mexican food every week. Now nothing sounds good.

What's getting me through is my obsession with thinking about songs to put on a labor and delivery playlist. I always always always have music playing no matter what I'm doing (except sleeping). So I feel like I want to create a really great playlist for labor and delivery. Every song I listen to lately I think about if it would be good or not. Weird I know.

That and thinking about being able to sleep normally soon and wear my regular clothes again just in time for fall and winter.
  • mmm tacos! my husband worked in a mexican restaurant for 8+ years while in high school and college. he was a busboy, prep cook, waiter, and bartender so he learned all of the secrets of the place and he makes AMAZING mexican food and margaritas! it is honestly one of the reasons i like him so much! well, more broadly it is that we both loooooove food and love to talk about it and plan meals and cook and basically just enjoy it together :)
i am also thinking about food constantly at this point!!! i always have, even when not pregnant, but now my level of obsession is unreal. i just ate lunch but am already thinking about dinner which i didn't plan out as usual since my hubs will be at a work function tonight. right now i am working from home so i keep telling myself if i work from 1pm til 5pm then i can start making dinner as a reward lol.
  • Tacos are a staple in our house!!! I'm excited for my birthday on Saturday and next Wednesday delivering my twin girls!

I'm excited for Patriots game on Thursday! I'm making my homemade apple crisp, I normally don't make it until he weather gets a little cooler but -F it! I'm making it and eating it!

How could I forget that it's football season?!?? Yes! Go Pats (for DH) and go Niners!!!!! And of course, go me in my fantasy league :)
  • I'm looking forward to Thursday, my birthday is today but we are celebrating it a couple of days late because dh has a big psych exam today and works tomorrow. I'm getting my nails redone, a pedi, and we're going to Olive Garden for dinner! I also only have 8 more days of work and focusing on that is helping time go by faster!
  • @sjembry93 Happy birthday! :)

I would loooove a taco (or tacos) right now! I brought a lunch to work today, but it sucks. Tacos and a side of mexi-fries...mmm.

  • Mmmm Tacos!  Chicken fajitas are on the menu plan for tomorrow so I'll just have to wait :( but I'm so excited that DH is going to get all the baby stuff down from the attic this weekend.  At 35 weeks I finally feel like it is time to obsess about getting ready for baby.

  • I have craved tacos for most of the past three months. And DH makes amaaaaaazing tacos. Maybe I can talk him into making some tonight... :D

Excited for this whole month. So much going on! Both church and work are throwing us showers, my best friend is getting married and a friend of ours from out of state is in town, so we're meeting up for lunch this week.
  • I could really go for some Mexican food right now!

I'm having fun planning my daughter's newborn photos! I'm so excited about them!

And of course, football season has started and my family's fantasy league starts this week. Also, I'm having a baby shower at my church next weekend.
  • Yum! It's been burritos lately for me, from this amazing burger joint, they just happen to have amazing burritos too.
Finally went with DH to look at baby things and decided on what we wanted but still have not purchased said items. Good thing though because DH is very calm and laid back about everything and I was starting to panic the closer it gets to due day.
Also adding that we did make one small purchase while @ Target... I usually bring something into the delivery room to be my focal point to concentrate on while in active labor. With DD we had a framed picture of my other 2 kids (to remind me that I had done it before and could do it again no matter how much it hurt). DH picked up this small pinata and half jokingly said "here's your focal point" I lol'd then said "it's perfect!" I thought it was silly but also very very sweet of him. :x
  • I would love some Chipotle tacos right now. But I don't know that the heartburn would be worth it... The guacamole on the other hand. Omg. I love that stuff.
  • I came across this picture and thought it was pretty fitting :))
  • This is the first time I read a post that mentioned food and haven't gone into instant craving mode...
    I love tacos too!

Positive fun post, submitting my Two Week Notice TOMORROW 10 days left of work unless baby decides otherwise ;)

    I'm so excited :-h
