Dreams!?!?!?!?!?

As hubby is snoring away peacefully ( thankfully after 3 nights of whimpering and whinning because of refusing to see a doctor), I am awaken by a frightening nightmare of someone trying to shoot me as I am running towards my house. As I shut the door to what I think is safety there is a sudden knock that startled me out of my sleep due to it sounding real. Now it is 1 am here most sane people are asleep, except me but I do work second shift so. I'm just curious if anyone else gets awake by terribly real dreams in a state of fear or high anxiety??? This is my 3rd child and I don't recall nightmares quite like this with my first 2.........help!?

Re: Dreams!?!?!?!?!?

  • I had weird dreams with my first too. I read it is totally normal. The other night I dreamed I beat the crap out if some girl I haven't seen since high school and was hiding from the cops. I liked this girl in high school. No reason to beat her up. Haha.

  • Dreams do get weird and vivid during pregnancy. There's a whole dream thread already started up if y'all wanna check it out and add to it :)

  • I've had scary dreams almost every night. I slept like a rock before I was pregnant. This is my first. Dreams from giving birth too early, monster baby, people killing me, spider dreams and even people telling me I'm not pregnant and being so confused. I've woken up my husband screaming for help in my sleep. :-S
  • I've had all kinds of scary dreams, they happen most nights and the worst ones are when I'm apart from my husband, and I often wake up with my heart pounding. I remind myself that it's just hormones but it's difficult to stay objective when you're alone and it's pitch black
  • I had a dream about getting shot in Buffalo Wild Wings the other night! I also had a ridiculous scary dream like I was working for CSI and was investigating a brutal murder. In the beginning I just had sex dreams. Can I get those back?
  • Dh sleeps like the dead, as in I can't leave the house with him asleep because I worry that he won't wake up if a fire alarm is going off (have set one off intentionally while he was sleeping and it never fazed him). Right now, it is a good thing as last night I woke up pi**ed at him, something about Starbucks not making cappuccinos here in texas and he said "well its texas and it's always hot here" and I told him I didn't care, they had better make me one. When I woke up, I was cussing him him out
  • I have had several vivid dreams. I have always talked in my sleep so I guess it's not totally new to my family but to me it is! I had a dream last night that I swear was real. I screamed so loud that I woke the kids up and sent my husband running in to our room. Our 100+ lb dog hid under the bed . In my dream this huge black spider was in the middle of the bed. It was so real! I'm still a little worried that int really was there. I've also had bee dreams and a really weird one about turkeys. I definitly won't be watching any nature shows any time soon.
  • For the first time in about 20 years I'm having nightmares again!! I don't understand why this happens! My dreams are so vivid and twisted I sometimes wake up thinking there's something seriously wrong with my head.
Last night I dreamt that I was trying to solve a serial killer case. I was the only person who noticed that this creepy guy was randomly moving to a new town, killing a person on the same street he stayed on, then moving on to another town. No one believed me so I was on my own except for this one friend who stuck by me. Long story short, I solved the crime, and just before the killer managed to get me, I threw him a doll which Dumbledore left me before he died (yes, Dumbledore), which the killer hugged (because it was a cute doll), and the doll exploded, killing the guy instantly. I saved the day.

    smh.

  • It's been super scary for me and now I am on. Diclegis so once I fall asleep or doze off after taking it ( have to take at night due to it causing drowsiness) I can't shake the drowsiness it gives me or wake up from them, I am taking 1 instead of 2 so I don't sleep as hard.
  • I have had the worst nightmares lately, from giraffes in my bakyard trying to eat my dogs to tarantulas in my bed and being chased by scary people it's the worst. I woke up crying the other night. I miss just sleeping all night from exhaustion, now I'm tossing and turning all night and I'm worried the baby will be like that when they're born =(.
