Membrane sweep

So yeh i am now 4 days overdue :(( :(( is she ever , ever gonna come??
I am due my checkup appointment today and will have a sweep. How effective have people found them?

    I had one Thursday- still no baby- but it wasn't painful - just a little uncomfortable. No bleeding or cramping after.

    I had two sweeps done. I'm now past my due date as well and the sweeps did nothing but give me horrible cramps and false contractions that eventually stopped. I also tried acupuncture which my OB said was the next best natural induction option, it also gave me some intense contractions but that's it. I get induced tomorrow so I've given up trying. Now I'm having crazy contractions on my own. She may not make it till tomorrow, but I'm just staying relaxed since I know there is an end in sight.

    I had mine this morning (about 13 hours ago) and feeling regular tightenings and crampings. Hoping its not teasing. Away to bed and hoping i wake up with things more intense. Wishful thinking maybe xx

    I was three days over my due date with my last and it worked. Less than 24 hrs later I had my little man. Wish you the best of luck!

    I had mine 7 days ago and I'm now 40 wks and 4 days. I spotted after, had some nice contractions that became cramps in the evening, and then nothing. Two days after sweep I lost my plug. I've been cramping up in the evenings and mornings since but no real action that will lead me to labor and delivery

    @letiluu anything?? All my tightenings and cramps are gone. So now feeling normal again with kicks haha. Least i know there is someone else that is almost as over as me. 5th day over for me woohoo! X

    I am getting my first sweep done on 9/15, and I am due 9/18. So I am crossing my fingers that it will work for me. I know that it won't work if baby isnt ready, but I am willing to try. My midwives will not induce me until 41 weeks so that would be 9/25, I don't know how I am going to last that long  :((

    @MommyandBryce u will survive hun! I was due the 3rd and i am still here holding on. Dont know how i have survived but i have..and i wont be induced for 6 more days! Xx

    With my first daughter my ob did the membrane sweep the day before my due dat. My water broke my due date and I had her the next day. I MUST SAY IT IS PAINFUL well it was to me but it did the job .. I am due Sept 13 if my daughter is not here by then I am doing the sweep again ... good luck to u

    Had a membrane sweep yesterday! It was very painful for me but so fast... Lots of baby movement & cramps/spotting last night but has calmed down today. I am 38w2d but attempting VBAC so we want this baby to come on its own :)
