My u/s went great, I heard the heartbeat last week, however I missed the checkin because I ended up really sick and in the hospital

however I am good and so is my little bean. I have my first appt with my OB on the 21st which I think is very far away but I am trying to be patient.

QOTW: My husbands immediate family (sisters, brother and mom) are coming over and although we already told his mom we are planning on telling his sisters and brother this weekend.

Nothing new happening over here. We're going to Disneyland Wednesday-Monday, which I am really excited about. Each time we've gone since we lost our first baby we've picked out a boy outfit and a girl outfit, and said when I finally get pregnant we will go again to celebrate. So this is that trip! I never dreamed both the boy and girl outfits would be worn!!

Not much new on my end, other than this is starting to set in! We dared making a trip to babies r us this weekend, just to see

My EDD is May 3, 2016. I will be getting my first U/S on Sept. 15, and will be seeing my GP (for referral to OB) this Friday.

We're going to visit my in laws in Florida all of next week. Although we've shared the news with a few close people, we haven't told them yet as we wanted to tell them in person (we only get to see them once or twice/year, so we figured we'd make it special). It just scares me that we haven't seen the little bean or heard a heartbeat yet. I guess I'm in post-IF fear that everything could go wrong!

Congrats!!! Honestly I just heard our little beans heartbeat last week and I am still nervous, I wish you a health and happy 9 months. I heard you will never stop feeling nervous... I have yet to venture to Babies R Us, I am so nervous. Going to Florida to tell the family is great! To me in person is best. Do you plan on telling them in a special way? My DH is going to wear a tshirt on Saturday that says "Be nice to me my wife is pregnant". We will see who reads it first lol.

@MKLEWIS2010 thanks for taking over! I tried to correct this mistake before, but I'm not sure if I'm having a singlet or twins. Won't find out until the u/s on 9/9.

I have my 2nd beta tomorrow. Had a pretty rough weekend. Was told to stop taking the estrogen patches (cold turkey). Spotted for the first time Saturday night. Nearly freaked out. Ok, totally freaked out. Meltdown. Have had a headache all weekend that got progressively worse through last night. Both Saturday and Sunday nights, both, were pretty rough. Have barely slept. I took a sick day from work today to try to lose the headache and catch up on some sleep.

QOTW: we are going to my brother-in-law's in-law's for a pig roast this weekend. Hoping to feel better by then.

@MKLEWIS2010 : we bought the books 'How to babysit a grandpa' and 'how to babysit a grandma'. We often bring them a little something (and so do they) when we see each other, so it makes sense for them to have to open a present. We're just a little worried about my FIL being able to shut up for a few weeks...he's VERY excited at the idea of becoming a grandpa (he's had a weeklong Disney trip planned for his hypothetical grandkids since the day we got engaged 5 years ago).

@KidShrink Yes, the spotting stop rather quickly. It wasn't a lot. It was just the fact that I have not spotted at all through this and I stopped the estrogen so I got really scared. Since then it's just this headache and some mild cramping. I hope everything is ok too. Thanks for asking.

@krbjoy I know how you felt I started spotting the weekend before I was scheduled to hear the heartbeat, it was dark red/brown, so they said not to worry and everything was fine. The concern is if it it bright red. They also told me the cramping was normal, my uterus expanding. I will also update that for next weeks checkin.

@kidshrink that is really cute, great idea. I know how exciting it is to tell them. My MIL wants us to tell everyone, but we told her we are waiting until we are out of the first trimester. She is so excited I dont know how long she can keep quiet about it.

@MKLewis2010 Thanks. My spotting was light, pinkish. Honestly, and this may be tmi, I think I may have cut myself with my nail as I was placing my suppository. After I calmed down and thought about it, I did have an issue right before I saw the spotting. But yeah, this stuff is quite stressful.

Status: Both my appointments last week went great. I had my last one with my RE and my first one with my new OB. I go in again on Friday (week 11). I wish I could see the baby every day to know everything is OK.

QOTW: I look forward to taking my last shot of PIO this Sunday! Whoo hoo!

@MKLewis2010 Yeah, I've had a heck of a time getting off the estrogen patches. Completely worried about stopping the suppositories. I cannot wait for my u/s. My 2nd beta came back pretty good, 3707, which eased some concern. I really do hope getting to the 2nd tri makes us feel more secure!

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well this week!

I finally got the results today from my panorama testing and all looks normal and Baby is low risk for everything. Whew! The test also reveals the sex so we found out we are having a girl! I started crying out of happiness, just knowing what "it" was. Last time I teared up was when I was told I was actually pregnant.

. Since my last ultrasound was at 10 weeks I'm still anxious baby will be ok at my ultrasound next week, where I'll almost be 14 weeks.

QOTW: no plans really for Labor Day weekend, but Sunday the 6th is our 6th wedding anniversary!

I think we will just go somewhere nice for dinner.

Hello, everything is fine, but I had a bit of an ordeal yesterday.

So I went in to the local OBGYN for my 8.5 week u/s.

The NP did this and found Baby A without issue, but then had major issues finding Baby B.

She kept trying to get an image and we could see something there but it looked distorted.

She could not get a good view of the sack and the baby inside and after mumbling the sack looks collapsed she quickly stopped the u/s and ran to get an OBGYN.

Well DH and I were there stunned since that was the sign we lost our twins in July 2012 when all they saw were collapsed sacks which led to D & C surgery.

I was feeling pretty sick with worry at this point.

Anyways, the OBGYN comes in and is very friendly, she can see Baby A perfectly and goes to scan Baby B, she does a ton of adjusting, and then asks if we are having triplets????

Apparently there is a third sack and that is what was distorting Baby B?

After looking for some time it does not appear the third sack has a baby but what???

She then looked at Baby B who appears to be fine, but has a much larger sack than A, maybe it tried to split?

Anyways she reassured us that Baby is just fine and that I do not need to come back until the end of September when my clinic releases me at 12 weeks.

Oh and both babies were moving around which she showed us and was a relief.

Well I could not get over the shock of thinking Baby B was gone.

My clinic called me later in the day they kept saying both babies look great and there was no mention of the third sack on the report but it did say they called in an OBGYN.

They also told me Baby B having a larger sack is not a concern.

Here were the measurements:

Baby A HB 175 2.35cm

Baby B (larger sack) HB 186 2.18cm

I wish I could shake this worry.

My clinic is also starting the slow wean of my medications which I am very excited about, so now PIO e/o/d and estrace once a day only, hopefully after bw on Tuesday they will start reducing my vivelle patches too!!!

QOTW: We might go berry picking if I can stand the long car ride with my nausea.

@efhoping2010 that must have been so scary. Wow I am so happy everything is okay and it's great they are weaning you off the meds. I can't wait until they start doing that with me too. I wish I saw my regular OB it bothers me I couldn't get an appointment until 12 weeks.

It will be a great weekend for berry picking! I hope you feel better and the nauseous subsides.

@efhoping2010 : wow, I can't imagine how stressful that was! Glad everything seems fine! This wasn't your first ultrasound, right? I'm only having my first one at 7 weeks which is stressing me out (11 days away!). Have fun berry picking (oh how fun nausea is)

I am late checking in this week, but...we found out today that we are having TWINS! We are so excited/in shock. Both were measuring at about 6.5 weeks and we saw heart beats! On our way home an elderly couple pulling an RV rear ended us when we were stopped at a light. Luckily no real damage and no one was hurt. I called the REs office immediately. They were not too worried, just told me to monitor for signs of bleeding. Still feeling as pregnant as I was, so am hopeful we are all doing just fine. QOTW: all I am focused on is rest... I have been so exhausted and the "morning sickness", ugh! If I feel up for it I may do some chores, other than that I am staying in bed.

I am new to this and not sure how it works. I am Preg due April 28th following 3 IVF cycles 2 fresh(bad OHSS from PCOS with both) 1 frozen 1 IUI and 9 months of clomid..Really excited but more nervous. Love having support from people in the same situation! Anyone else getting their hormonal migraines?

Hey ladies I'm not sure how this works either but I'm finally pregnant after 8 failed IUIs and one failed IVF fresh cycle. We got our sticky baby on our first frozen cycle this time after transferring 2. Unfortunately only one made it but we're feeling incredibily blessed. Our little miracle is due April 29th!

Hi everyone! I'm new to this, so not quite sure how/ where to do an intro. I'm pregnant with my first after an IVF fresh transfer cycle. I'm due the first week of May. I'm so, so excited but still nervous and cautious; I guess I'm just used to things not working out so it's hard to adjust (I hope that doesn't sound super debbie downer!). I'm almost 6 weeks, and we had our first ultrasound last week and saw the gestational sack and yolk sack (very exciting little ovals), and we'll (hopefully) see a heartbeat at our next ultrasound. Our RE only transferred one blastocyst, so I'm assuming there's no chance for a surprise in there!

Really happy to connect with other people who are pregnant after IF, and hoping everyone is having a lovely Thursday! If anyone has any brilliant tips on what to do about total overwhelming exhaustion, they'd be greatly appreciated!

Congrats @happymonkeys we all know how you feel. We just have to hope and pray for the best. With the exhaustion I just try to sleep as much as possible I take a nap when i get home from work and I go to sleep early. I am still always tired but that is all I can do for now.

Hello everyone. I'm new to this board. I am 6 wks pregnant with twins after first ivf cycle. Due date is 5/6/16. I have been suffering with OHSS for about 3 weeks now, but it all seemed worth it today when we heard our babies heart beats on our first ultrasound. We are super excited yet scared. Seeing the babies in my uterus seemed so surreal. Praying everything goes ok.
