What is your favorite baby carrier? I want to be able to breastfeed in the carrier and don't want to spend tons of money on it. The moby is way too hot for me and I feel like my LO always slips down in it. TIA
Balboa sling!!! I have a Moby Wrap, but it's such a pain!!! I found the sling at Once Upon a Child and figured I would try it and use it all the time!!!!
I like the Ergobaby but I feel like LO is a little small for it at 9 lbs. I think it'll be better when he's bigger. Right now I'm loving the Infantino Unison Newborn carrier...it's much lighter weight and not as hot. Once his head control is a little better we can also put him in it front-facing. I found it at Marshall's for $20, can't beat that price.
I bought a solly wrap and really wanted to love it but the fabric doesn't stretch well and it's uncomfortable for baby and me. Such a shame because the designs and colors are so cute and the fabric is lightweight. I just attended a baby wearing class and the birth expert and doula that led the class recommended a boba wrap. I tried it on and it was sooooo much more comfortable than my solly wrap. It is slightly thicker material but breathable. And the main benefit over the solly is that it stretches vertically and horizontally so it's softer, more comfortable, and easier to get baby in and out. So that's my rant !
I plan to get a structured carrier when LO is bigger. She's 9 pounds now.
I have a Ktan and an Ergo 360. The Ktan is easy to wear and comfortable. They have a breeze version that would probably be best for hot weather, the original can get a little toasty. Baby is still too small for the ergo.
I love the Boba but it is soooo unbearably hot for DD and I both. I wouldn't recommend it for outdoor activities in the summer but it's great for walking around the mall or getting stuff done around the house.
@JLynnG86 I agree! Great for walks early in the morning or later in the evening, around the house, or grocery store. Can't wait to use it in the fall & for hiking here in Colorado where it's cooler in the mountains!
