are you weaning before 6 months? What are your reasons for doing so? I'm in the UK & guidelines are to wait until 6 months but know people start at 17 weeks
I started weaning when my LO was 15w, only porridge for breakfast with his bottle and for tea after his bottle. He was starting to go off his bottles which is my reason I've started early & you just know when they are ready My health visitor recommended starting early too
Planning for 2+ I have been doing reading on this and I am leaning towards delaying starting solids. There seems to be a strong case for it. If circumstances allow, of course.
My daughter has been on supplemental formula since day 5 as I have never been able to produce. Everyone woman in my family has had difficulty. At 4 months, I've gone the longest nursing and pumping. I start work again in a few days and my supply is already barely there. We will see what happens, but I already feel like I've made it to a mini goal.
With a year's mat leave, I'm hoping to do the full year (though I do supplement now with a bit of formula, I don't have enough milk in the evenings). It's possible I may continue doing a morning/night feed when I'm back to work, unless she self weans sooner.
Re: Early weaning
