Hi all, trying to plan ahead for my 1st IVF cycle and have read very different things about whether or not you will need or want rest after the egg transfer. Thoughts, experiences, successes?
Hi, I wish you good luck on this journey. My doctors did not recommend a day off after I always suggest asking your doctor because everyone is different. I did rest on the day of the transfer I had to take the day off anyway die to timing so after I just went home relaxed and put my feet up. My first transfer didn't work but my second did and I didn't do anything different.
As pp stated, I didn't really do anything different after my transfer. They say to go on assuming you're pregnant. So you wouldn't just sit and test for nine months, right? lol. Really at that point it's out of your hands and nature does its thing, for good or bad. I was so blessed to have mine work the first time. Good luck!

After tx my dr did not recommend rest. In fact I went hiking! I think the increased circulation helped. First tine I stated on the couch afraid to move and got bfn. Next time lots of activity and bfp. Fx!!!
I didn't do anything different activity-wise, after my FET. I just didn't drink or take any Advil. A day before AF was due, I started getting cramps. I was positive AF was on her way, so I went to my hockey practice to take my mind off it. A week later I got a bfp.
We obsess and read everything to try to increase our chances of the embie sticking, but I honestly believe that those little embryos make their up their own mind, regardless of what you do or don't do.
