I didn't want to find out for this one, he agreed, but I think he just is giving me my way... I'm doubting because girl name easy!!! To agree on!!!! Now boy name!!! Our son, we liked each others ideas, had a hard time agreeing, but we at least liked each others names. Now we hate each others! I'm very worried because what of its a boy and we can't agree on a name and we are in the hospital baby nameless! As things are going now we will be headed home with a nameless baby...:( or a name the other hates. Need advise! I know my fear is extreme and not likely, but seriously the only two names we like, are the others extreme NO's!!!! Maybe we should find out for this reason! We have a busy life style!! He works full time goes to school full time, we started our own business... The time we have together is little!

  • So happy you finally got in to see a doctor! I'm assuming everything looked good and you have one healthy LO growing?

  • I'd find out the sex. We had the same situation with our son and spent too much time the first day or two trying to figure out a name when I would have rather relaxed and focused on our son or choose a name before the hospital you'd be happy with. Good luck.
  • Heres how I figure it helping, if we find out its a girl. Problem solved. Its a 50/50 chance. But if we wait and its a girl... We stressed for nothing! Sort of! But I think your right. I still want to be surprised! We don't argue, or get hurt cuz we say hate that name, but that has only been said once or twice. And that's ok. We mostly say the just don't like it...we took a 3 month break to think of names and we still disagree. I just also know our time we have together is small. Id much rather spend it enjoying eachother not friendly debating over names! I guess we have to continue and keep trying these ideas!:) thanks y'all!:)
  • If it makes you feel any better, we know what we are having and still don't agree on any names lol... and we are having twins!
  • Yea. With our son we had this issue!! But we at least some what liked eachothers ideas. I thought we were having twins! So did the dr n ultrasound lady upon my babies movement, and slightly my size, as I was talking to them before the actual ultrasound. She looked for 10 min, wondering why she couldn't see another baby. Lol. I'd be thrilled to have 2, both sides of my mom and dads side have twins!:) but right now I'm glad just to have a healthy baby!!!:) I feel twin names would be hard because they have to sound right together!!! Good luck to you!!!
  • I was team green for my first and we didn't agree on a name until after my son was born. Sometimes you just need to sit with the kid to see what name suits them. Once everything was quiet and we had our time together as a family it just came to us - dad picked his first name, I chose the middle and it fit him perfectly. With this one we didn't really discuss names for either but I'm confident whatever is chosen will be the right one for baby.

Also the hospital doesn't require a name as soon as baby pops out so don't fret - everything will say baby (your last name). The only reason they ask for one before you leave is because it makes filling out paperwork (birth certificate, ss card, etc) easier. Toby Maguire didn't name his son for 6 months and even then it was only bc he wanted to take the baby out of the country and needed a passport. Worst case you have a fun story to tell.
  • I really like the Baby Name Wizard, they have sibling name lists so you can see what names you will probably like based on your sons name it also helps you identify your name styles which points you to names that you are more likely to be interested in I was suprised at how helpful it was at defining my tastes. I also liked that they showed what name styles were most common in various regions.
