No period but no positive!

Hi all.
Just want to pick brains really if that's ok & work out if this is common.
I had a long period after my MC. I then used an OPK for a week and got positive results helping me to pin point my fertile period.
We had intercourse during this time (2weeks ago).
I'm still waiting for my period, which is now 12 days late based on my last AF.
I took a cheap HPT last week on Tuesday and Thursday and the result was negative.
Could it be too early to test / is my cycle just all over the place?

    I'm too early into this to know the answer but just wanted to say I have my fingers crossed for you, here's to a positive as opposed to AF!x

    With my bfp I had a negative at 12 dpo and a positive at 14 dpo, I've heard of people getting first positives up to 16-18 dpo, but 12 days late would be about 26 dpo if I'm adding correctly, so that would be pretty unusual. Then again you said the fertile period was 2 weeks ago, so I'm a little confused about your timeline. If you were fertile 2 weeks ago it could be that it just hasn't had time to be positive yet. Were you temping? That's the only way to know for sure you ovulated when you think you did. Opks can be pos when the body gears up to ovulate but then sometimes for whatever reason it doesn't and then ovulates later. Anyway good luck keep us posted.

    Yes you were just under 2 weeks weren't you! I feel strange to be honest. Really strange. Happy and grateful but also just a bit EEEK.
