  IMO you don't need that crap, if she doesn't even care to let you know she won't be coming even though she was meant to be helping, I wouldn't even validate her with a reaction let alone acknowledgement.

  I would ignore it. Situations like this show who your true friends are. My shower is next Saturday. So far my mom has only had about 4 people rsvp out of 20. It just goes to show who wants to celebrate these kind of life changing events with you and who does not.

  I agree with PP, there is no need for you to say anything unless she brings it up. Your other friend who threw the shower, that's a different story. I would be PISSED if someone was supposed to co-host a shower with me and bailed to hang out at the beach. She may need to say something.

  Agree that you don't really need to say anything. But the other hostess... If she chooses to say something, no one would blame her. That's ridiculous! Though I can appreciate travel time taking much longer than anticipated, it sounds like you know she wasn't just stuck in traffic or over slept. Be thankful that you had an amazing shower! This hiccup could easily derail any party, so it just goes to show you how people came together to show some love to you and your little one!
