What the?!!!

DH and I registered at both Babies R Us and Target several weeks ago. We have since gotten gifts in the mail from both registries (from people who can't attend the shower and decided to send something) and NEITHER of the stores are providing us with a name or address of the person who bought the gift!!
Is this normal? It's driving me nuts because I really want to send thank you cards or call people and thank them appropriately, and I can't do that. Have you guys run into this? I just don't understand

    I haven't gotten anything yet from them, but I would like know too. Amazon sends the name of the people.

    I am registered at babies r us, and they have provided me with the name and address of each person who sent a gift. The info was listed, along with the note, on the packing slip. If you still can't find, you can call and they will tell you who sent the gift,

    Target's will will tell you the billing address in the upper right hand corner of the packing slip. Not sure about Babies R Us.

    I would give them a call. They will tell you who purchased the gift. They may not provide an address but your shower host should have that if you don't.

    Check your registry online too. In the babies r us registry, there's a link to see what all has already been bought and by who.

    I'm registered at Buy Buy Baby and we had one item arrive without any indication who sent it. I emailed the store's customer services an explained it to them and they were able to tell me who it was. Might be worth a shot!

    This happened to me too. Most of the target items had the shippers info on the packing slip but we had a couple of items ship from the manufacturer with no indication of who purchased them. I ended up having to call people and ask them which was awkward when I guess wrong. Good luck!

    We registered at babies r us and 1 gift came without a sender (the others were on the packing slip) and I just called, gave some info, and the guy let me know who sent it and even read me the message that they wrote with it

    I just went to a baby shower and they made an announcement apologizing for the Target thing. Same complaint, no way for mom to be to know who the gift was from.

    Babies r us, when you log into your registry as if you are updating it. On the right there is a box and it has a link to gift manager. Press that and it should take you to a page that shows everyone that purchased
    Online. Also if you look at the receipts that come with the packages. It should show a message or a billing contact which will show you who bought it. Hope this helps !!!
