Bath pillows...

... and other favorite bath products?

I've been dealing with lots of cramping lately and one of the best things that helps are baths. Our tub is deep but not slanted at one end so you can't really lay down comfortably in it. Does anyone have a bath pillow that they just love? Also, what are your favorite bath products for relaxing at the end of the day?

Re: Bath pillows...

  • Great question. I have a bath pillow, but I'm not in love.

I do love any lavender bath salts.

  • This conversation about baths makes me really sad! My hubby (right before I found out I was pregnant) broke the little knob in the tub that keeps water in the tub :( And we have too many other projects going on right now in the house to fix it.

But...putting my feelings aside ;) My sister had a bath pillow she loved. I believe it was really cheap and at Bed Bath & Beyond. My favorite bath product though...has to be regular old bubbles. Bonus points if they are lavender :) I also love bath oil, just a tiny bit though.

Don't have a pillow, but I love the dr. Teals Epsom salts. I also like the lush bath bombs sometimes, but they make cleaning the tub a pain, it seems, so I don't use them as often.

ETA: I forgot to mention I have a corner tub, so there's a big ledge on pretty much all sides. I'll usually prop my ipad up and Netflix it out.

If it is just the stopper that is broken you should be able to get a replacement for pretty cheap at Lowe's or Home Depot. We moved into a house once that had a really old tub with no stopper so we just bought a suction cup type replacement stopper for like $10 and it worked perfectly!

I have a bath pillow that I love. I bought a few years ago off Amazon. It is not the inflatable kind and it has held up pretty well. I will see if I can find it and share.

Edit: This is the one I ordered but it is unavailable atm.

I have also used this one and really liked it but it was not as plush as the one above.
  • Wine used to be my favorite bath product lol but now that I can't have that, I love Dr. Teal's bath salts! You can get big bags of it at Costco for a good deal. These overflow covers are pretty cool, too. It lets you fill your bath up deeper by covering the overflow drain.

  • anewideefixe I plan to 100% buy a stopped this weekend. I didnt even think of it! I just want to relax haha.
  • I use Dr. Teals bath salts and bubble bath (usually the calming and relax or relax and sleep.) I also have lots of candles I light to relax.. My favorite candle at the moment is from Burt's Bees new line, it's eucalyptus mint (I found it at the local grocery store.) I also have a good pregnancy read on hand (magazine or book) sometimes I even sneak my phone in and read TB (I don't recommend this if your clumsy.) I don't use a bath pillow but I have seen a good selection at bed bath and beyond.
  • You read my mind. I was actually in the bath earlier today thinking "wow, I wish I had a good bath pillow". Funny. As for products.. I really only use Epsom bath salts or some form of bath salts. Epsom salts are so good for your body, and I find if I use anything else my skin gets bothered afterwards. So not too exciting here.

Also, you can use a thick hair rubber band to cover the round overflow drains.
