Postpartum Knee or Joint Pain?

Pre-pregnancy, I was a gym rat and a Zumba instructor. I managed to keep working out until my third trimester and keep instructing until my 9th month. Since I gave birth to my son, my knee hurts when I bend it or try exerting it in anyway. Is anyone else experiencing postpartum knee or joint pain?

Re: Postpartum Knee or Joint Pain?

  • My good (not that either of them are good but 1 I busted up when I danced) knee was bothering me last night for no reason at all. Everytime I went up or down steps it was killing me. I really thought it was going to give out for a bit. Haven't done any steps today so not sure how it feels. I didn't known PP joint pain was a thing...oh the things I have learned since becoming pregnant.

  • OMG yes! I have felt like an old lady for the last week! Getting up out of the rocker in the nursery or off the couch results in pain in both of my knees.

My wrist has a pinched nerve I think so I've had a brace for about 4 days now. Also my back pain is worse than usual. I feel old!
  • Yes! My knees, hips all my joints hurt
  • My knee keeps sliding out the socket with any quick movements, such as getting up. I didn't know that was a PP effect

  • Not this time but after my first pregnancy my feet absolutely killed. It felt like the bones were not holding together properly. I figured it was due to spending so much time on my feet doing strange rocking motions around the clock. I think you also still have the hormone relaxin going through your body PP so joints are looser than normal.
