2nd sweep today- any success stories?

I'm 41 weeks- had a sweep on Monday and nothing happened. Got a second one this afternoon. Anyone got any second sweep success stories?!

    My second sweep was before I was sent to the hospital (went right after appointment to be induced because of pre e). I was at a 3 before my sweep and dilated to a 4 while the doctor was doing it. Then when I got to the hospital I was at a 4 1/2 right before the broke my water to induce me. I was only there an hour when they broke my water. So there is hope. I also think it depends on the doctor. The one who did the sweep before I went to the hospital I refer to as the rough doctor. He always makes me bleed when he checks me. The doctor who did it the first time was a gentle doctor. It did not feel like he was doing a sweep at all.

    I got my second sweep done on Friday the 28th, and at 7:45 Saturday morning my water broke! Less than 12 hours later, I was holding my baby. :x

    I had a second sweep at my 39 week check up. Had crazy contractions after, they tapered off the next day and I was frustrated because my ob swore he would see us the next day. The second day at 4:15 am my water broke and he was born a few hours later. Good luck! If your body is ready it will work within 72 hours. I'm sure you are ready at 41 weeks.enjoy every second

    You usually need to be 2cm dilated or more to get a good sweep. There should be a little "pop" when the membranes release. I was 3cm for my second sweep at 40w and heard the pop sound. OB said if she could she would put money on me going into labor within 48 hours. Only 12 hours later the contractions started.

    I didn't hear a pop. Midwife said head seemed higher than last sweep but the good news was that my cervix is soft and stretchy! Woke up this morning and think I've had a bit of a show... So feeling a bit encouraged by that!
