Target baby registry question...

in November 2015 Moms
so I created my registry at target and have seen multiple moms posting that they got a gift back that had coupons and samples... I have yet to get anything. When do I get them or how do I get them? Thx!

    I never got mine either, so I am interested as well.  I have to say that I have not been thrilled with my Target registry experience and probably would not register there again for a few reasons.

    You might need to ask for it at the customer service desk. I asked for mine, they didn't automatically give it to me, which annoyed me a bit.

    You know, funny you say that because I wasn't very happy with the registry there either. And now it's too late because invites already went out for my shower in 2 weeks. I'll have to just call and ask if they have the gift bag. It irritates me because I had to go to multiple stores to even create it since the scanner wasn't working

    We got TONS of duplicate /triplicate gifts because their registry doesn't update as people buy things, only once a day.  Returning stuff is not a huge deal to me, but I felt terrible for my guests.  Several of them said, "you don't need to unwrap it, you already got it." when it was time to open their gift. That sucks. People go out of their way and pick something out for you and then get no joy from the gift giving because you already opened the same thing twice.

    I just called the store closest to me and complained about the inconvenience of having to bounce from store to store to complete it only for them to not even give me the bag and now I have to go back.

    Am I correct in saying that almost every major store gives you a gift bag when registering?

    Yep! I too had to ask specifically for it, so that sounds like the theme with everyone.

    If you go to customer service and say you created a registry, they should just give you one.  It was actually pretty nice as far as gift bags for registries go--lots of coupons, some wipes, bottle cleaners, etc. We actually only made a registry there to get the bag, discount, and to return things like diapers people might get us without including a gift receipt (our "real" registries are at Amazon and BRU).   It might be worth it to call ahead though. The first time we asked they were all out of gift bags.

    To be completely honest, I had to ask twice for mine (they were out the first time I went but still had to ask about it), so when I go tomorrow I'm for sure getting another one. I don't even feel bad. I've had the same difficulties with things not showing up at all or not showing as already purchased. Called customer service and no one seems to get that it's a problem, and a quick look at their fb page or googling it, the problem has been going on for months.

    Yeah I wasn't super thrilled with the Target registry experience the scanners kept breaking news and stuff wouldn't scan it was a total hassle. The gift bag was nice I got it at customer service but the rest of the experience I could have done without

    We had this issue with the scanners not working too.  We finally just used our cell phones.  Also, people that bought stuff online and intended to have things shipped to their house, ended up being shipped to our house before my shower so some people had to come get their gifts (that I had already seen) before the shower.

    Agree - I registered there with my first and I didn't like it! I didn't get the coupons either, found their website difficult to use and got multiple gifts. The thing that sucks about that is, if they don't give you the receipt, you only get $75 worth of returns without a receipt a year!

    The scanner quit on us about half thru registering and some things, mostly clothes, it would not let us scan at all. And I did not get a gift bag. We registered there for our wedding too and were told then they were out of bags. I love Target but yeah their whole registry program/service kind of sucks.

    What? I have around $300 worth to return...can you at least get store credit??

    Thus far the target registry app has been the easiest to use. They don't have a ton of stuff at the store so hopefully most of your guest like to shop online like I do. I didn't know they only update the registry once a day.

    We had problems too. And the kiosks arenalways down in the store. Scanners didnt work had problems with the app. Total pain! I didnt get a gift bag either and i asked. She said it would come in the mail? I might have to go ask.

    Yes, Babies R us and Buy Buy Baby definitely give you a gift bag as well.

    I've had so many problems with them as well! The scanners were a pain in the butt and didn't want to work, the website was so glitchy and I couldn't delete things for a while myself, I didn't get a gift bag as well, and there are things showing up on my registry online that I never even looked at period, much less add to the registry. I like Target, but I'm not at all impressed by the registry!

    They automatically gave me my goodie bag when I got there and asked to sign up for a registry but I disliked baby r us they gave my friend merely nothing but cards advertising brands w. A few coupons. I also registered at buy buy baby and the bag they give you is amazing!

    I got a ton of free samples including a bottle.
    They always give you a ton of coupons. I get a $5 off a purchase of $15 or more and a 20% off one item every month. Out of all the registry bags I got Buy Buy Baby was my favorite.

    They gave me 3 or 4 pacifiers,a can of formula,diapers/wipes, a few mini baby bottle cleaners, a baby on board sign, samples of babyganics body wash/laundry detergent/ lotion, bio oil sample, honest brand wipes,& loads of coupons. There was more but that was off memory I really enjoyed the goodie bag they gave!

    Hmmm. Wish buy buy baby wasn't so far!!!! You'd think living in as big of a city as Phoenix, I'd have one locally but the closest is still 30 or so minutes from me!

    I did all my registry work online. I liked how with target they have an application where you can add items from other stores to your registry, too. There were some items they didn't sell at target, so it helped that I didn't have to have 10 registries. When I went to target to get my goodie bag, they gave it to me with no questions asked and didn't even look up my registry info. I never used the scanner. But there is a phone app... But I don't get service in my target store. So I never used it. I guess the bag experience depends from store to store.
