    'Morning!

    1. BulgariHeart. Bicoastal

    2. TTC #1 for 3 cycles. This cycle we take a break so that I can more aggressively address my poor circulation issues.

    3. This cycle I'm going to start taking Maya abdominal massages on top of my acupuncture/TCM regimen. We have successfully lengthened my LP, shortened the menses and improved the circulation but there is still a bit of blood liquid-cell ratio to be improved. So I've added arginine, pycnogenol, Hawthorn berry and cayenne to my daily supplementation regimen. I'm already feeling the benefits.
I'm charting and temping but will take a break from OPKs this cycle.

    4. CD5.

    5. I'm disappointed that despite being a completely healthy person I have a weak spot, my circulation. I wasn't expecting it and I'm in a terrible rush to improve it.

QOTW: No plans so far. We'll probably enjoy the outdoors if the weather permits.

  • Hi Ladies:

    1. kmetcalfe77, East Coast

    2.  TTC #1 for 13 months//9 cycles

    3.  I had my third IUI last week and took Letrozole this month.

    4.  8 DPIUI

    5.  I started out extremely hopeful but as you all know, every day that passes in the TWW is torture and I start questioning everything.  I am paranoid that I didn't ovulate in time after the trigger shot.  But trying to remain hopeful and keep reminding myself that those swimmers can stay there for days waiting for the egg.

DH and I are going to Virginia Beach to visit family this weekend.  Going to try my best NOT to test this weekend and wait until beta which is scheduled for next Tuesday.

      • TTC #1 since August 2014
      • currently on 5th medicated IUI cycle
  • 1. Kay from BC, Canada

    2. TTC #1 for a year now

    3. Charting/temping, CM, CP, HFE drops from ND, and I think I'm going to try acupuncture this month.

    4. CD5, still waiting for AF to leave (which should be today)

    5. It's early, but I feel good about this month. FW should hit around my birthday weekend, so that would be a fun story ;)

QOTW: no big plans for Labour Day (same in Canada, just spelled differently!) DH is working at our local county fair until Sunday night, so Monday will be some much needed together time, chilling, watching movies.
    Me: 37, DH: 44
    TTC #1 since September 2014

  • 1. Tomerine, MA

    2. TTC #2 since January

    3. Most likely taking a break.  I'm off clomid until DH's issues are resolved, which likely won't be this month.  I'm trying to decide if I'll do OPKs as it's not impossible it could happen.  Prenatal vitamins, acupuncture, hoping, praying.  The usual.

    4. Waiting for AF.  Oddly, my typical days of spotting is going on longer than usual.  If AF doesn't show today it will be 6 days of spotting.  Sigh.  More to be worried about.

    5. Numb.  Just... numb.  Ok, and sad.  I'm a regular Mary Sunshine these days.  I am hoping that a break from TTC might help me regroup, and not make me more anxious.  Anyone have experience with this?

QOTW: Funny enough, when everyone else is going back to school, we're going on an impromptu vacation this week.  I'm kind of excited that at least this break from TTC means I can have a few cocktails!
    :-<

@bulgariheart I love cayenne!  I am planning (after vacation) to go back to my morning hot water, lemon, and cayenne pepper drink instead of coffee.  I know it sounds crazy, but I swear I can feel it cleaning my insides.

@kmetcalfe77  good luck!  Thinking of you in your TWW.

@kaydeeaye here's to a VERY happy birthday for you!
    :D
  • @Tomerine I've read that detoxing recipe as well, it's amazing how many properties cayenne pepper has! For now I'm adding it to my Hawthorn berry and Hibiscus flower tea for they all have great cardiovascular and blood thinning properties, which is what I need.
Tomorrow I'm also going to start applying castor oil packs until I ovulate. If you want to detox you might want to try those too.

TTC off and on the past year

    3- charting/temping and OPK

    4- just entering the 2WW.

5- trying not to get my hopes up. I was testing like crazy and never got a positive OPK. Still testing in case I O'd late.

QOTW- might go to the local ren faire this weekend. I figure if I get pregnant I won't be wearin a corset anytime soon. And it's been years since I was able to.

    1. JennOK

    2. TTC #2 for 4 months, off BC for 15 months and thought it might just happen during that time, silly me.

    3. Just trying to BD more. Start temping next cycle since I didn't start CD1 this time.

    4. I should O sometime in the next week. I had a longer cycle last time, so it could be as late as next Wednesday.

    5. Well, I'm already planning on temping next cycle, so I guess that says something about expectations. I am just taking it as it comes right now. I try not to have any expectations. I don't test until the day AF is scheduled to arrive if it doesn't show up. I guess I feel like we are just waiting the minimum 6 months of trying before we start testing to see what's going on.
  • 1. happyktmom from Virginia

    2. TTC#2 since April 2014

    3. I'm self benched - following a Progesterone reset protocol for 1 or 2 cycles.

    4. CD20, will stop progesterone cream on CD27 to start AF

    5.  Relaxed ;)  It's crazy how I feel good finally, knowing I'm not going to pour over HPT's or signs.  Don't get me wrong, it's all worth it in the end but I so badly needed a break.  I really should hold out and do this progesterone to remain anovulatory for 3 cycles but I don't know if I have it in me.

Labor Day weekend - 5k, nieces birthday party, also doing a renn fest ;) and then chillaxin on Monday - maybe at the pool!  I may even let myself have a little WINE!

    ttc #1 for a while

prepping for FET transfer in mid September. My appointment last friday went well -- lining was thin and ovaries quiet. So on the next phase - currently on leuprolide acetate and estrogen patches. Appointment next friday to check lining.

The FET process is pretty long so i feel like i am just plugging along getting ready for the transfer. Don't have strong feelings yet (hope, worry etc). No doubt will set in closer to the transfer.

Looking forward to a quiet 3 day weekend at home and getting lots done around the house. Hope to also get a hike in.

@kmetcalfe77 - sending good wishes for your IUI!!

@emsmama15 - glad to hear you are feeling a little better. One day at a time...at least that is how i am taking it these days.

    2. TTC #1, not preventing since 11/12, actively trying since 8/14

    3. Temping, prenatals, inositol supplements, evening primrose oil, probiotics, cayenne, Vit D. Also some herbal supplement from the acupuncturist. She has me on a strict diet of absolutely no carbs/sweets/fruits for 6 weeks, so it's just protein and veggies (just one week left!). Taking a break from the ClearBlue OPK's because they haven't worked for the past 2 cycles and they are so dang expensive, so just doing the Wondfo OPK's.

    4. CD 13, waiting to O...

    5. Not sure what to think anymore. I'm just so tired of everything. I thought I was making progress but then my body had a surprise 18-day cycle and caused me a ton of pain and emotional distress. That's all over now, thank god. But I'm left wondering if my body will ever do anything normal? Sadly, I had to postpone the follow-up tests with RE until next cycle since I was traveling when AF showed up and I need to do the tests on CD3. SO much waiting, I'm starting to lose my patience...

H and I are having a combined 1st anniversary and bday party (for him) this Saturday. It'll be fun to catch up with everyone since we've been out of town for a couple of weeks. And then I work on Sunday and Monday.

Good luck everyone! I'm hoping to see some BFP's soon!!

  • @dolphin012 - will you transfer all three of your frozen embryos?

@jilligan14 - I hope this cycle is back to normal.  That sucks that you have to wait a whole month more to do testing.  :(

    3. and 4. Who knows :) went off mini pill about 2.5 weeks ago and have no idea what my body is doing- no withdrawal bleed, no period. I feel like my system is a mess though with lots of symptoms from going off the pill. I know it's possible to get pregnant immediately (like the day after last pill) after coming off mini pill so of course I started testing this week, which I know is crazy, thinking we might get extremely luckily and get pregnant right away, but I'm driving myself crazy so I need to stop testing. So I won't know what going on until I either get a BFP or AF, which I have felt like is coming with a vengeance since last Sat. but has not.... So I wait oh so patiently.... Riiiight ;)

    5. I have had unrealistic high hopes for this first try and I'm not sure why...so I will stay positive until I have information otherwise!

Heading to the lake for Labor Day weekend- I'm not drinking right now since I don't know where I am in the cycle- family is going to pick up on it but I will dodge it as long as I can!
  • Hello Ladies!  After hubby's issues I couldn't really focus on TTC for a few weeks so I stopped post and rarely worked.  We're back on track so I'm back too!

    1. Amanda Marie from maryland

    2. TTC #1, 3rd cycle

    3. Just charting - which would be easier if FF dind't lose my data!  I should have just Od but it's not going to give me a good estimate because it lost the last two days of temps!

    4. I'm pretty sure I O yesterday.

    5. Happy that hubby is good.  He went to a doctor, doctor said it physically was just a temporary thing.  However, with trying to conceive and all, he was thinking about it, and stressing out about it and it became a psychological issue.   Dr told him not to worry and gave him some little blue pills to help him get his confidence back.

QOTW: Trying to catch up with baseball!  I moved last year and can't get to as many games as I used to since the train to where I live now does not run as late.  My two favorite teams are playing each other Monday so we're off to the ballpark!
  • Welcome back @amimhof Good luck to you and your DH!

  • @emsmama15 - we are going to transfer our 1 day 5 blast. The other two are day 3 embryos so a little tricky since they are not in the same stage.

We actually had a few decisions to make as to how we wanted to go about it. We had the option of growing the two day 3s out in the lab and transfer all 3 on day 5. But that is assuming they both made it to day 5 in the lab. We opted to do two separate transfers as that will give all the embryos their best chances. If the day 5 blast doesn't take than it will take longer. But we aren't going to do anymore retrieval cycles (if we were then there would be a strong case for transferring in one cycle so we could move on to another retrieval sooner, if needed). We are going to use the time during the transfer to consider and learn about the alternate options as a back-up if the FETs don't work and if they do work it will be good information for a possible sibling down the road.

Probably a longer winded response than expected :)

  • 1. MntnGirl, CA

    2. TTC #1 ~1yr

    3. This cycle: Temping, prenatal vitamin, vitex, CoQ10, and serrapeptase daily. Pre-conception tea and maca CD 1-14. OPKs. BD every other day during fertility window. Went to GYN this week to discuss ovarian cysts and pain. No concerns, but she did say that I should count spotting days as AF start (CD1) and not full flow day so our FW shifts again, but this month I'm charting.

    4. Where are you in your cycle? CD 14.

    5. How do you feel about this cycle? I was looking forward to talking to GYN and getting pain I've had since March checked out, but I found out my OB/GYN left the practice when a different doctor popped in the room. I didn't feel like she was taking me seriously. Maybe ovary pain is no big deal and she hears about it everyday. 8-} She did answer my questions regarding my main concern - even if there are cysts, that shouldn't interfere with IVF or be a concern. So now I'll be looking forward to seeing our new RE, getting blood work and ultrasound to see what's going on and discussing options.

QOTW: This weekend - pool parties with friends and family.
  • 1. Kathleen in GA

    2. TTC #1, 5th cycle

    3. Medicated IUI with femara, menopur, trigger, progesterone.  Also acupuncture and TCM herbs.  Supplementing with CoQ10 and DHEA since Feb.

    4. 3dpo/dpiui

    5. I just don't know.  My wife just lost her job, so if this doesn't work, we'll probably have a month or two off, just because we can't afford all this with just one income. But still, timing seemed good, and two to three follicles. So I guess it's a good a shot as any other.  I'll test at 12dpo, and give it all my strength not to test sooner.

This weekend, I'm resting and trying to get over a head cold.  I have the whole next week off from work, and will be heading to NYC for the second half of the week to see some shows and eat some good food.  I'm hoping that will help take my mind of the TWW!
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve

TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!

    2. TTC#5 (#1 for SO), history of recurrent loss; 6th cycle since d&c in April '15

    3. Opk's, temping, prenatals, 1500mg fish oil daily, Seed Cycling, Mayan Abdominal Massage, castor oil packs and self-massage, lymphatic massage, swimming, dry brushing, and starting to "talk" positively to my body. Also using some visualization and meditation.
    (Gonna add NAC, starting today.)

    4. Cd9 waiting to O

    5. I feel like whatever I'm doing right now is helping my body regulate, so even if I don't conceive, I feel like my chances are better than ever for it to happen in the next few months. The abdominal massage was life changing for me. I feel like I've been physically supported in relaxing my body. I'm just trying to keep it going and focusing on overall wellness right now.

QOTW: I'm totally relaxing this weekend. I still have to cook, clean and handle the small natural disasters of having a family, but I'm letting myself just be. ;)

*shout outs to everyone this cycle xo >:D<

  • @thistle8677 - I recently saw my FP doc for an asthma check-up.  She's incredibly supportive of all my alternative therapy seeking, as well as supplements.  She advised that she's now suggesting 6 g of fish oil per day for all her patients.  She also said, when I work nights or other things that are high stress  on my body, I can double it.  She said not many people do it because it's 5-6 pills per day, but I figured what the heck, I already take about 20 every morning, what's 5 more?  One other question - will you do the abdominal massage again?  Is there a suggested regimen or is it a one time thing with ongoing self-massage?  Just wondering what to expect on Tuesday.  :)

  • @emsmama15 I will definitely do the massage again. In fact, I'm starting to think I want to go to school to be an LMT and get the training for Maya Abdominal Massage. The lymphatic massage made a light go on over my head. I was reading that your lymphatic fluid is twice the volume of blood in your body! Can you even imagine that if you have a blockage in your lymph system how that affects your entire well being and body functions?! I'm completely inspired.

As far as the fish oil, I'm taking 1500mg in liquid form, but 6g sounds awesome!
How are you feeling in general? When is your massage?...Tuesday?...or is that @BulgariHeart? (Sorry I'm on my phone and can't easily go back to check posts while writing this one.)

After my massage she gave me a bottle of organic castor oil. I cut a piece if flannel to cover my abdomen and then soak it in a portion of the oil (heated)...
While lying on an old towel (castor oil will stain), apply the saturated (not soaking wet) flannel to your abdomen, cover with a piece of plastic, and then place a heating pad or hot water bottle over that.
Keep it there anywhere from 20-45 min.

After that there are 3 places to massage that repeat in groups of 3.
Hard for me to explain without a visual, so I'll look for a video for you, but your LMT will most likely show you.
Good luck and let me know!

  • I'm feeling a lot better.  I just spent a few days in Chicago with family and really got my mind off all that's going on.  My sis is a chiropractor and she adjusted me.  I was REALLY out of alignment.  Interestingly, a lot of my "weak" areas were emotional.  About half and half identified as due to infertility or WORK.  I knew my job was problematic!  HAHA!  I'm feeling better in general because I have all my pre-IVF appointments scheduled and I feel like I'm really on the right track to improving my health and mental well-being!

I believe @BulgariHeart and I are both on Tuesday.  I can't wait.  I'll update the thread after I'm done.  My lovely co-workers are covering for me so I could get in to this appointment.

I'm so happy for your that you had such a great experience that you're contemplating making a career of it.  What an amazing way to help people!!
