Plus size mommies: Maternity clothes?

Hi Ladies!

Despite being plus size, my body changed a lot and I have popped!  Most of my weight was in booty, thighs and hips.  I now have a pronounced tummy/bump at just 4 months, and my clothes don't fit.

Before my pregnancy, I was a 20-22, between a 2XL and 3XL.  I got a few items on consignment, and most of the 2XL stuff is too small in my thighs and butt.  I really need that 3XL, but can't find it anywhere online.  I must say I am pretty shocked!

I would also love some pregnancy panties, again, thinking i need a 2XL -3XL, but can't find those anywhere!!

Advise please!

  • Have you tried Kohls online? They have plus size maternity that goes up to 3X. It's their "Oh Baby by Motherhood" collection. Hope that helps!

  • I didnt buy any pregnancy undies my first pregnancy. I bought lane bryant hipsters style undies which are very comfy and cute. Im a 22 and bought a pair of jeans from mother hood online. I think they are a 2x and very comfy. Im actually to jc Penney today to find some more clothes because im popping a lot more too with this baby. Tops are easier to find than bottoms imo. The other thing i find comfy are leggings from torrid in a size 2. They run big.
  • motherhood maternity makes plus up to 3x. I was a 20/22 pre pregnancy and the 2x pants fit great and I'm either a 1x or a 2x in the tops

  • I agree with Motherhood Maternity suggestion, I've been wearing their 3/4 pants for a few weeks and just got a couple of pairs of work pants from there.
  • JCP has a number of affordable plus size maternity options online. For undies I would buy a size of two up in a cotton style from your current favorite underwear brand.

  • Hello, I'm totally lurking from D15. I suggest Old Navy. They have a good amount of decently priced maternity plus size clothes. JCP usually doesn't carry maternity in their stores, just online. Macy's isn't too good for maternity for plus size women, but check online. Sometimes you get lucky. I like to shop at Torrid, and I just purchase my clothes a size up. So if I'm usually a 0 ( 12-14), I'll pick up a 1 (16-18). They go up higher. You can google them. They are a Lane Bryant brand, but they cater to a younger demographic. Kohl's supposedly has some good stuff too. I hope that helps :)

  • This! Omg I totally thought I was alone. My skirts and dresses are all snug and a little uncomfy after I eat (bloating) so I too need to vamp up the maternity selection. Im a 2XL and have a few 3XL tops that are so comfy so I think I will go look for a few stretchy skirts that size too. I found some undies at Walmart that I like. I went about 2 sizes up which is so much more comfy and got the bikini style so the line is at the pelvis. Best to all of you!
