My two dogs just do not want to leave my side they have been so snugly and love laying on my belly they are only 7 pounds and my female is also prego! I honestly feel like they know there's something up! Anyone else feel the same?

This is my favorite picture from my last pregnancy. My pup loved to snuggle up on my bump.

He follows me around a lot every now and then, but I can't tell if it's bc he knows something's up or just because his separation anxiety is kicking in.

My dogs were like that my first pregnancy. This time they prefer to lay with DH and give me angry looks. I'm hoping the puppy snuggles pick up eventually

Our "smarter" dog is constantly staring at me- he's giving me a complex

Cats and the "Sweet" dog couldn't be less interested

I read a fiction book "The Story of Edgar Sawtell" that took a chapter from the dogs point of view- it was probably one of my favorite book moments ever- the dog knew they were waiting for something but didn't know what so she would go around looking for "whatever" it was. Beautifully written- here's a summer I found online- if you do read the book (which I highly recommend- be aware that it's quite sad)
"Almondine, Gar and Trudy’s house dog, is aware that something is going to happen. She feels restless, separated from her kennel mates. She feels that she has nothing significant to do. When Edgar is born, Trudy warns Almondine not to lick the baby, but Almondine stays close. As Trudy sleeps, Almondine hears a small sound. She realizes that the baby is trying to cry but has no voice. Edgar is born mute. Almondine awakens Trudy, who feeds the baby. Almondine is satisfied; she now has a job to do."

I have an older Pug, Mia, who loves to snuggle, but she has been giving me extra snuggles lately. During my m/c back in June she would never leave my side and helped cheer me up in a tough time.

My dog has gotten naughty. Its like she knows we're bringing another one home. Don't get me wrong, she loves DD and puts up with a LOT, but there are times when I know she resents us having a child! She never ever used to be rotten, seriously the best behaved dog ever, but she'll randomly find something (of no value at least) to chew up when we're at work, and she's started barking at us to play all...the...time...even though we still play with her as much as ever, and she also has started jumping up to the counter or dining room table and swipping food! She NEVER did that before! DH reminded me that she got rotten when I was initially pregnant with DD...

@mrsmtothek Yes! He's a pretty good dog. If he didn't have separation anxiety, he'd be the best dog in the world, but my doorframes, floors and couches have seen better days!

My sweet puggle girl has a huuuuge problem with separation anxiety too haha. She hates not being near me!! Poor baby. They are the best doggies though!!!!

He just turned 8 last month.

My furkid, Monty, is a very sweet little King Charles Cav and he's been strangely protective lately. I'd say more clingy but he's a Cav. Clingy is part of the breed standard ☺️
