NBR: How much do you pay for trash?

I feel like I'm getting ripped, but there is only one company that serves our area.  My bill is $185 every 3 months for basic service (they don't offer recycling and we don't rent a can or anything).  How I miss Columbus.  The trash at our old house was paid for by taxes.

    Im confused you pay for your trash to be picked up???  Thats crazy I never knew that people paid for trash pick up!

    Our trash you buy prepaid tags. One normal size trash can is 97 cents.?

    That is insane!! It is included on my water bill, which is about $50 / month.. except when we turn on the sprinkler system for a few months in the summer.

    We're in an unincorporated area, so we have to pay for our removal too. ?It's like $120 every 3 months, with two cans, one for yard waste, one for regular trash, and a recycling bin.

    We pay $160 a quarter (rent two trash cans).  Used to have it paid for with taxes, but then we moved to the boonies.  No recycling :(

    Nada for me. I live in a townhouse and we have dumpsters.. but I don't believe anyone has to pay in the city I live in.

    Ours is taken from taxes.  If we want an additional pick up day a week, we pay $10 a month.  We get a trash can, a green waste can, and a recycling can.

    I pay $36 monthly.  They provide the one trash can, one recycle can and one yard debris can.

    This month our water company hired out a trash service so now those two bills are combined.
    It used to be that we paid about $75 every 3 months for just one can of trash.  Now we're adding $11 a month onto our water bill for one trash can and one recycling can. Sweet!
