3rd Trimester

Baby laying transverse

I'm 32 weeks and my baby girl is all cuddled in sideways. I need her to turn so badly. She is laying on all my blood vessels and I feel so dizzy and little headed all the time. Dr says I have time for her to flip but it's starting to worry me. Does anyone have any tricks to helping the baby flip??

  • I've heard you can get on all fours and rock back and forth.

  • Look up spinning babies. It's mainly for breech babies but I'm sure it'll help with transverse babies.
  • Find a chiropractor who is certified in caring for pregnant women. There are some adjustments they can do to encourage the baby to turn.
  • I had this at 30 weeks and got on my knees and elbows and rocked back and forth! Something about your butt being above your head helps the the flip.
  • Try spinningbabies.com and also spend as much time as you can in a forward-leaning position. My baby was transverse until 34 weeks. I spent a ton of time on my hands and knees in weeks 32 and 33 gardening and I think that helped, combined with the spinning babies inversions. Or the baby just flipped on her own!
