No bumps yet, but maybe we could post "before" pictures? Of course, I expect we'll all be "befores" for quite some time unless the weight gain and bloat goes wild!

Actually, your uterus is still below your pelvic bone until around 12 weeks so any "bump" you have before that is pretty much just bloat. You don't start having a true visible baby bump until then.
Also found this: "When do you start 'showing' in pregnancy? Some women start to show very early in their pregnancies. If you have been pregnant before, your uterus and abdominal muscles may be more relaxed. Your pregnant belly may seem to “pop out” right away. At eight weeks your uterus is about the size of a tennis ball. It is normally the size of a lemon. This is not a remarkable change in size but it may cause your clothes to feel a little snugger. During early pregnancy, you may feel bloated, similar to how you feel right before your period starts. This bloated feeling, constipation, or weight gain may result in you feeling like you are showing sooner than you actually are. You probably won’t be needing maternity clothes until you are closer to the start of your second trimester. However, some women start wearing maternity as early as ten weeks into their pregnancies."
The term "showing" means that you can see the bump caused by the uterus and the baby. I'm not saying there are no changes that happen to your body. I'm saying that those changes are related to bloating and weight gain, not your "baby bump". @lalala2004 is correct that none of us have a "bump" yet. Having a prior pregnancy doesn't make your uterus magically expand to the size of a grapefruit and push out your belly at less than 6 weeks(which is all the farther along any of us are).

And I said you would be surprised with how quickly the weight gain and bloat can go wild. Not that anyone's uturus was going to expand like crazy. Am I wrong? Do people not gain weight or bloat during the first trimester?
It's also pretty well documented that second time moms do tend to show a bit sooner than first. I can google and find you some sources, they will be about as legit as you citing thebump.com.

Yeah-- it's nonsense. As a second time mom last time I showed at 16 weeks. It's bloat. It's poop. It's not uterus or baby that qualifies as "showing". Every BMB has this debate. Every single time these ladies professing to have a bump this early are full of it. Because science.
"When you're six weeks pregnant, your baby's crown-to-rump measurement is anywhere from a fifth to a quarter of an inch and growing — making it the size of the length of a nail head or a sweet pea."
-- far too small to show, feel movement (I know that willbe next in like two weeks)
Arguing with this science is like trying to tell me the sky is red because you are colorblind, that makes it so. Refusing to acknowledge simple biological truth is like a toddler telling me she doesn't have to pee while she's standing in a puddle.
You're missing my point. I know it's science. I know it's not my uterus that is popping out of my stomach at 6 or 8 weeks pregnant.
I'm saying that I don't think many women care if it's bloat or not, and still want to take and share fun pictures. It's not a big deal. No harm, no foul. If it offends you, you don't even have to look! That is the beauty of it.
Please see my previous post. I don't think I can repeat myself again. You, however, can continue repeating yourself if you would like.
Clearly the hormones are all on the rise. Forgive me for wanting to embrace and enjoy every last moment of my last pregnancy no matter how absurd. I'm aware it's not a true "bump" at this point, but where is the harm? How does it hurt those whom haven't got a bfp yet? They don't have to open this thread! Nor did anyone who felt it necessary to be nasty or post *normal pregnancy quotes from a website*
I'm not normal. My uterus is flipped completely anterior. No, not tilted, but flipped. When I'm 12 weeks pregnant, I look 20. At 15 weeks, I can lie down and I literally look like I have a bowling ball in my stomach.
Don't stomp on the fun of others because of your bad day. Go yell at your husband. :-q

It's not "hormones" to have a difference of opinion or to point out facts that might disagree with your worldview. Women can have legitimate feelings and opinions at any time of the month and also while pregnant. lol.

I didn't miss your point. I took "blump" photos at 5 weeks with DS. However, I knew it was bloat and didn't insist on saying I was showing. That's my point. It doesn't bother me that folks want to take pictures (for some its the only bump pictures they will have. Miscarriage rate is 25% . So I get that. I really do) and they should take photos (and share them if they choose).
My only point is that its inaccurate to insist its baby and "showing". Its bloat, intestines, poop and gas. The good news is that you have these things because baby is present, so silver lining. I'm not entirely against sunshine and unicorn feelings about this particular issue. I'm just saying let's be rational. @lest12
@UOLONE : I'm not pregnant currently. Just a lowly lurker on your board to keep up with my TTGP friends that graduated here. Please don't use the "hormones" excuse. It invalidates a woman's feelings as being irrational and overly-emotional because they are pregnant. A pregnant woman (or woman at any point in her cycle as TheBorg said) can have opinions that are strong and valid without influence of their hormones.
Currently, lack of sleep is my excuse for being irritated by this. I also just don't like spread of inaccurate information. Generally, its a pet peeve.
Dude, my last BMB called it Hump Day Blump Day for the first trimester. People still take their little weekly photos at 6, 8 and even 12 weeks to show their "progress". It's harmless. No one is saying their not bloated. I'm saying you all need to calm your tits over this crap.
Looks like the answer to your original question is no, it shouldn't be. And let's also not go about telling people to calm their tits... you're bordering hindering my enjoyment of this site.
@lest12 I love Belle and your gif is great. Also, good luck this cycle. I meant no offense by using the term hormones. I was simply using an expression in jest to convey my own opinion of how absurd *I* think some of the responses are.
To any and everyone -- Hormones or having a bad day or just wanting to throw in some $.02, it really is silly to loose the panty twisting over something so unimportant. I'm very opinionated and fact-driven, but I'll save that for the posts that tell us we're going to hell for circumcising our sons or we're lazy twats for bottle-feeding or idiots for having elective c-sections. I'm really not interested in investing my emotions or energy over an argument that really shouldn't be an argument. I'm not naive, nor am I blind to how the world works, but I am a kind person and genuinely enjoy the good in people and it truly just ticked me off to check my post this morning only to find that people were not being kind on a post where opinions or facts weren't necessary for the topic. It's as simple as not opening the post or reading past the first comment if you don't like the topic.

UHHH I would not recommend yelling at your innocent husband over science.
If that's your marriage, yikes, feel sorry for him.

A) You can't tell folks how you think they should respond to any post. Folks are entitled to their opinion, even if you don't think the way they express it is "kind". FTR, I don't believe anything I've said is unkind. Its just factual. I didn't insult anyone's intelligence or personally attack anyone. That would be unkind. I simply said that anyone calling a 6-week belly shot a "bump" is not informed and its inaccurate. That's not a crime.
C.) Yet here you are investing a whole paragraph-- It really shouldn't be an argument . because its not biologically or anatomically a baby bump YET. Why aren't opinions and facts necessary when discussing appropriate gestational size and age (to produce a bump). I mean, theoretically opinions and facts are NEVER necessary... as long as we are kind? What kind of logic is that?
So since I haven't gotten a BFP, but I am super bloated from the "hormones" from follistim + progesterone, does that mean I can post a "bump" pic? I mean that's all rainbows and unicorns to go ahead and tell me I am pregnant and can post a pic at 6dpiui right?
@lest12 I think the point is that just because someone wants to call their bloated belly a baby bump doesn't make it so. Is it caused by your pregnancy? Probably. But that still doesn't make it a baby bump. No one was getting angry about it. They were just pointing out fact. There are sometimes exceptions to this like one of the PPs but the vast majority of women do not show until after the 1st trimester is over.
I like science and fact over delusion and opinion any day.
@kgbbsc7 girl you sure can!!!! It's a bump if you BELIEVE it's a bump!!!!!!!!
Can I do a post baby bump? Because I still have all my baby weight. Pushed out just right I can pass for totes pregotes!
I was EASILY 4 months preggers the day before my IUI.

So, I'm trying to figure out your point, @tigerfish227?
Are you saying that women don't have any noticeable changes prior to 12 weeks of pregnancy? I would beg to differ.
