So hungry

I am 5 weeks with my second pregnancy. I was never this hungry with my first. I will eat a good size meal then 10 mins later need to eat again.I have even done the 6 small meals to see if that helps only to find out if makes it worse. We joke saying I am pregnant with twins.

  • First pregnancy for me. I'm starving. 24/7. Exact same thing as you. Eat a meal and then eating again 15 minutes later. I'm just trying to snack constantly otherwise I find I'm binge eating junk food. I'm gonna be huge if I keep eating at this rate...that's my biggest fear. It's hard not to give into the hunger though!!!

  • I suggest tracking what you're eating on MyFitnessPal. That way you at least have an accurate picture of your intake. It may not be as bad as you think! Plus, that way you can see if you're overdoing carbs, not eating enough fat or protein, etc. I just feel a bit more peace of mind knowing I've tracked my food. I'm not dieting - I'm in maintenance mode - but this way, none of the eating is mindless.

  • I remember being SO hungry with DD for the first few weeks. Then morning sickness settled in and I ate nothing but fruit, water, and crackers for about 5 weeks straight. Pregnancy is weird.

    This is what I'm doing, too. It helps me to adjust if I'm not eating balanced enough, but yeah, I'm hungry all the time.

  • don't forget to drink as well... I've been really hungry as well and tried eating small meals but ever since I started drinking more water I've been less hungry.. but completely agree with keeping track of what your eating to make sure you're eating the correct balance of foods needed :)
