I am 8 days PP and have had a migraine for 2 days. This evening I've spiked a fever. I left a message with the on call doc, just waiting to hear back.

Anyone else experience this?

T&P, I had headaches that turned out to be related to high blood pressure. Definitely get it checked, you can develop pre-e postpartum too, which I never knew (and I have no history of issues).

How is your blood pressure? It could be post partum pre eclampsia. For sure get it checked out. I was hospitalized for it after my son was born!

****UPDATE****

Well, doc sent me to ER last night. Turns out my blood pressure was sky high! They've admitted me for monitoring. They still cant get my temp down past 102, and my headache wont go away. So far I've had a CT scan, chest xray, spinal tap, and tons of bloodwork and urinalysis. The docs are still trying to rule out all the scary stuff.

I miss my baby and I just want to go home!

Oh goodness! Did they put you on magnesium sulfate yet? That stuff sucks, but helps with the blood pressure. I think they gave me oxy something for my headache and it took the edge off. My hospital let my baby stay in the room with me. My husband had to be there at all times when baby was there. He just brought the baby over so I could nurse when he was hungry. Everything I was on was safe for breast feeding. But with your temp they might not want him there! Thoughts and prayers are with you that everything is ok!

That is everything DS just had done when he went into the ER with a fever. He ended up having viral meningitis. Scary stuff. Hope you feel better soon!

thanks everyone! I feel like a patient on an episode of House lol
they still haven't pinpointed what exactly is causing all this. It could be viral meningitis, but they ruled out bacterial. It could also be preeclampsia ao they are starting me on Mag. I'm also gonna need a CT scan of my pelvis to rule out blood clots. So we shall see

Oh goodness! Well if it is preeclampsia the mag will help! You will feel like crap while you are on it though

hopefully that is what it is and you start to get better! Keep us updated. Going back to the hospital sucks, I know.

Well, I'm still stuck in the hospital but, finally have a diagnosis! I developed late postpartum preeclampsia, along with SPT (septic pelvic thrombosis). I will be finished with my mag drip soon and hopefully going homw tomorrow!
