I am 21 weeks and 4 days. We had our big anatomy scan yesterday. Our regular OB warned us there could be a cleft lip. He thought he saw one in the previous ultrasound. The baby does have a cleft palate. However we had no idea there were any femur issues. The dr and the tech at the university he referred us to said the femur growth is a month behind. The arms a little short, but they aren't worried about that. Everything else looks good they said. Just the cleft palate and the femurs. The dr said our baby will more than likely never walk and his femurs won't ever catch up. He also made a comment about a still birth being more likely now. Other than that they don't have answers. Has anyone else dealt with this? We are heartbroken.
Re: Femur Growth issues
Thoughts and prayers to you and your little one. Doctors tell people "they will never" or "odds are against" and lots of those people defy those odds or statements.
